英文电影片名翻译论文提纲

论文题目：从模因论角度看电影片名翻译中归化与异化的应用

摘要：如今电影已经成为人们生活当中喜闻乐见、不可或缺的一种娱乐形式。近几年中国电影市场繁荣,越来越多的英文电影被引入国内市场,走入中国观众的视野。电影片名是电影的标签,对于电影内容的宣传、主题的升华、激发观众观影兴趣以及票房收入等各个方面都有重要影响。同时电影片名和电影一样承担着文化传播和交流的职责。本质上来说电影片名的翻译也是一种跨文化交际活动。电影片名这种文本通常语言简洁,结构凝练,寓意深邃。因此英文电影片名的汉译看似比长片大论的文章翻译要简单,但是要做到文情并茂并传达片名当中所蕴含的文化内涵也并非容易的事情。 归化和异化作为两种文化翻译策略,也常用于电影片名翻译中。然而对于这两种策略在电影片名翻译中各自占到什么地位,起到什么作用,哪一种对于电影片名更为合适一直以来被翻译界广泛关注并热烈地讨论,也有不少学者做了相关的研究。 模因论：一种阐述人类文化进化和传播的理论,将模因作为文化复制和传播的基本单位,来研究文化传播的进化模式。从这个角度来看,模因论对于归化和异化在英文片名的汉译中的应用具备一定的解释力。 本论文正是以模因论这种新的文化传播理论为视角,旨在重新探讨和分析在英文电影片名汉译的过程中归化和异化这两种翻译策略的应用。论文作者收集了近四百个英文电影片名及其对应的汉译片名,建立了一个供研究所用的小型语料库,通过例举、比较、对比不同的英文片名的汉译,并结合模因论进行分析,作者得出如下结论： 1)归化和异化作为两种文化翻译的策略,在英文电影片名的汉译中并无孰好孰差之分。从模因论的角度来分析,无论运用这两种翻译策略中的哪一种,英文片名汉译的过程本质上都是成功的模因历经四个阶段的传播过程。从这个意义上来说,归化和异化对于文化的交流和传播都有着同等重要的影响。 2)在以中英文两种语言为代表的两种文化交流初期,归化更常使用于英文片名汉译中,因为在那个阶段,目标语读者（中国观众）对于英文文化背景了解很少,对于英文片名模因当中所传递的文化信息进行解码和吸收有困难,因此汉译片名常常会采用归化这一策略使中国观众能够了解片名的核心意思；而随着两种文化交流的不断频繁和深入,中国观众对于原汁原味的异国文化的需求和好奇不断地增加,在这种情况下,异化越来越多地被应用于英文电影片名的汉译中,以保证中国观众接触到最真实最本真的源语言文化。
