论文题目:功能翻译理论下公示语的汉英翻译 ——以成都市公园公示语为例

摘要:公示语,作为一种传递信息的工具,在人们的日常生活中扮演者不可或缺的角色。尤其在在公共场合或旅游景点,公示语已悄然成为最常用的语言之一,指引着人们的各种行为。本文通过解释公示语的定义和意义,基于德国功能学派理论及目前国内研究现状,探讨几种存在于成都各主要公园里公示语翻译的常见问题。通过这一研究,本文试图探索究竟是哪些方面原因导致了翻译不当或误译。最终的目的是为了找到或者提出一些能够规范公示语翻译的原则性建议。结合功能学派翻译理论和国内研究现状,本文对成都公园公示语的翻译进行了系统的梳理,之所以选择成都作为研究对象,成都作为我国最佳旅游城市之一,享有丰富的自然遗产和世界遗产,极具代表性。在成都各主要公园的公示语翻译中,由于没有正确把握语用等效的原则,出现了信息偏差、信息错误和信息交际障碍,即语用失误。通过调查研究,本文主要发现了目前存在于成都市各主要公园公示语翻译中存在的翻译错误,包括:直接使用拼音翻译、语法错误、字对字翻译、不考虑文化差异的翻译等等。通过发现不同的错误类型,本文进一步追溯了成都各主要公园出现公示语翻译错误的原因。在功能学派的翻译理论指导下,本文将导致公示语翻译错误的原因做出了两大分类,即主观原因和客观原因。主观原因包括译者、译员本身的理论缺失、背景知识缺乏、翻译失误等;客观原因则涉及到相关旅游部门在宣传、监督、管理等过程中缺乏宏观调控意识和风险意识。最后,本文给出了各类公示语翻译的原则与建议,希望起到抛砖引玉的作用,使成都的城市公示语汉英翻译日益规范化,从而进一步提升成都作为最佳旅游城市的人文环境软文化建设。在翻译公示语时,应根据公示语言简意赅、通俗易懂的特点和两种语言的文化差异,在翻译时做到将原语的信息准确、明白地传递给目的语的接受者。这是在公共标识语的翻译中应该遵循的原则和应该达到的目的。
