别让常识束缚了你

印度的驯象人很聪明，他们在象还小的时候便把它缚在树桩上，小象的力量不足，挣脱不了绳索。久而久之，小象形成了这样一种常识：绳子是扯不断的。这种想法一直伴随着它，以至在长大到只需轻轻一甩便可逃脱时，它也不会逃跑了。

小象变成了大象，不变的是它心中形成的常识，小象受制于绳，大象受制于常识。惊叹驯象人聪明之余，我们又是否意识到，其实，我们很多人也被常识禁锢了头脑，失去了创造力。

常识固然是重要的，这一点毋庸置疑。常识能让我们少走弯路，但是，仅仅有常识是远远不够的。我们在掌握一定常识后，还要学会突破进取，推陈出新。

苹果熟了就会掉在地上，这是常识，别人或许只是捡起来吃掉，但牛顿，却从这个常识中看到了不同，引发他深入思考，最终提出了万有引力定律。同样是常识，对于没有准备的人，它依然是常识，对于做好了准备的人，它是通往更高殿堂的一块基石。只有通过常识看到实质，我们才能有长足的进步。

In my last semester in university, we must take the graduation exams. The last exam was the English linguistics. Many of my classmates would cheat in exams. I hadn’t done it before. For this, sometimes my friends were surprised and laughed at me. When I felt it very difficult to remember the phonetics form, I finally gave up reviewing it and decided to try to cheat in this exam.
