1. 归纳式

教育心理学的研究表明:课堂及时回忆要比六小时以后回忆的效率高出四倍。一节课结束时, 教师引导学生对教学内容用精练的语言进行总结归纳, 既可以启发学生回忆课文的主要内容, 又可以梳理知识, 使之条理化。许多学生听课归纳意识薄弱、归纳能力低下, 听到的知识一盘散沙 (即便是系统的知识) , 亟需总结。这一方法对语法教学尤其适用。如讲感叹句这节课, 在结尾时教师可引导学生观察多媒体屏幕内容:

一、设置悬念式

例如译林版教材九上Unit 5 Music without boundaries,我在上课时先提出了问题:What is music without boundaries?学生看到这个话题可能一时不知道要讲的是什么内容。学生会带着好奇和兴趣往下阅读。一直到文章的最后,答案才揭晓,对课堂导入时的一系列问题给了学生一个圆满的回答,不但做到了文章内容的首尾呼应,而且做到了导入与结尾的呼应。

三、讨论法

讨论法就是在结束语中根据教学内容有针对性地提出问题,让学生在教师的引导下展开讨论,以达到良好的教学效果。

讨论式教学有利于学生对语言的内化,即把语言知识转化为语言能力与语用能力。一般来说,课堂结尾时的讨论,一是为了检查学生的学习情况,并进行交流;二是为了总结出文章的中心思想,悟出某些句、段的内涵,评价文章特色和对比文化的差异等。讨论的过程对学生想象能力和创造性思维能力的培养有很大的帮助。

四、延伸法

延伸法就是将课内知识向课外延伸,扩大学生的知识面。

例如译林版教材九上Unit 1 Know yourself,可以根据课文设计问题让学生讨论并用本课出现的一系列形容词来描述自己的性格,继而说出自己适合做什么样的工作。

1.What are your characteristics?

2.What job are you suitable for?

3. Write a short description(描述) of your own characteristics.

4. Show your description to your partner.

然后可以让学生用学过的知识把所学的知识向外延伸:

1.Now discuss with your partner whether or not you agree with each other.

2.Can you describe your parterners characteristics?

3.Are your partners characteristics match his or her animal sign?

学生通过讨论和回答这些问题,有效地理解并掌握了本单元的知识,并且扩大了知识面。

五、归纳法

一节课结束时,及时对所学知识进行归纳,是提高课堂教学效率的重要措施。在学生阅读能力提高的基础上,要求学生找主题句,归纳文章中心思想,这样有助于学生对文章整体的理解。

例如译林版教材九上Unit 7 Kittys favourite film star中每段首句就是本段的主题句,将每段的首句串起来就归纳出了本文的中心思想。这篇文章的篇幅较长,学生不易整体理解,应指导学生进行归纳,学生会发现此文每一自然段均有一个能代表全段大意的主题句。

结合课文,根据事件发生的先后顺序,可以把Audrey Hepburn 的生平事迹总结如下:

1.Hepburn met Colette in France.

2.Hepburn played the lead role in the play Gigi.

3.Roman Holiday was a big success.

4.Hepburn won the Oscar for Best Actress.

5.Hepburn had four more Oscar nominations.

6.Always—Hepburns last appearance in a film.

在教师的指导下,归纳本文中心思想如下:

Hepburns achievements went beyond the film industry.She is not only a great actress,but also a great humanitarian.

六、理序法

理序法就是将课文中众多的事例按时间顺序、发展规律或逻辑关系加以整理组织,使其形成有序的整体,便于学生记忆。

对于一些介绍人物生平的文章,可利用时间或数字帮助学生理清头绪,形成系统的知识,具体做法为:

1.教师课前预先设计表格,结束课的时候可利用小黑板或投影片出示表格。

2.完形填空法。

例如译林版教材九上Unit 4 Spud Webb,可将课文按照年份或其他数据,缩写成一篇介绍Spud Webb历史的小短文,并挖去一些关键词,让学生填写。通过这样的训练,可以使学生理清思路,整体把握教材知识结构,达到良好的教学效果。

笔者在上译林版教材九上Unit 4 Spud Webb阅读课的时候,把男主人公生平取得的成就用表格设计如下。这样,对于每个阶段他是怎样努力拼搏、永不放弃他的梦想的,学生看了表格后思路就非常清晰了。

七、迁移法

为了能及时了解学生对知识的掌握情况,在对话课结束时,可要求学生以第三人称进行对话的口头复述,同时也可将此布置为笔头作业。阅读课小结时,可以合理利用练习册中的完形填空题,从练习中体现知识的迁移,从而促进学生学习能力的提高。

总之,教学有法,教无定法。一堂课的结尾对达成教学目标有十分重要的作用。同其他教学环节一样,课堂结尾的方式需要灵活多变,需要教师做更多的探索,找到适合自己和学生的课堂结尾方法,不可拘泥于某一种方法。
