考点一:考查宾语从句的引导词

引导宾语从句的关联词主要有:that,if ,whether,what,who,which,how,where,when,why等.

对引导词的选择要注意三点:

1.陈述句变为宾语从句时,引导词用that,口语中that常省略,无实义;

2.一般疑问句变为宾语从句时,引导词用if或whether,意为“是否”(注意:当和or not连用时必须用whether);3.特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时,用特殊疑问词作引导词,其意义要以特殊疑问词本身的含义来确定.

考点二:考查宾语从句的语序

宾语从句的语序要用陈述语序,即主谓语序.Do you know where he lives? Can you tell me when the plane will arrive? I don’t know if/whether he will come.He asked how we could get there.考点三:考查宾语从句的时态

1.主句是一般现在时态,从句的时态要根据句意而定,该用什么时态

就用什么时态.例如;

宾语从句的定义

划出下面的宾语部分 I know him.He runs a big shoe factory.We grow lots of vegetables.He told me the news.I hear that you have passed the examination.置于动词、介词和形容词(afraid,sure,glad等)等词性后面起宾语作用的从句叫宾语从句。宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序。

大多数及物动词都可以带宾语从句,如think, hope, wish, believe ,say ,know ,hear ,tell ,remember ,forget等,常用来引导宾语从句的形容词有: sure,certain,glad,please,happy,sorry,afraid,satisfied,surprised。He told me(that)he would go to college the next year.We are talking about whether we admit students into our club.I am sorry I am late.I am sure I will pass the exam.宾语从句主要考点梳理 一.宾语从句中引导词的用法

在复合句中作主句的宾语,引导词有: 连词:that(that 常可省略),whether, if 代词:who, whose, what ,which ,whoever, whatever, whichever 副词:when ,where, how, why 等。

(一)that引导的宾语从句(在非正式场合that可以省略)可跟that从句做宾语的动词有:

say, think, insist, wish, hope, demand, imagine, wonder, know, suppose, see, believe, agree, admit, deny, expect, explain, order, command, feel, dream, suggest, hear, mean, notice, prefer, request, require, propose, declare, report等。

例句:The boy believes that he will travel through space to other planets.注意事项:当主句谓语动词是 think, believe, suppose, expect 等词,而宾语从句的意思是否定时,常把否定转移至主句表示。例句:I don’t think it is right for him to treat you like that.在以下情况中that不能省略

1.当句中的动词后接多于两个由that引导的宾语从句时,第一个that可省,但后面的that不可省。例句:He said(that)you were too young to understand the matter and that he was asked not to tell you.2.当主句的谓语动词与that宾语从句之间有插入语时,that一般不可省。

由whether(if)引导的宾语从句,实际上是一般疑问句演变而来的。意思是“是否”。宾语从句要用陈述句语序。一般说来,在宾语从句中whether与if可以互换使用,但在特殊情况下if与whether是不能互换的。

例句:I wonder whether(if)they will come to our party.只能用whether,不能用if引导的宾语从句

1.直接与or not连用时

例句:I can’t say whether or not they can come on time.2.在带to的不定式前

例句:We decided whether to walk there.3.在介词的后面

例句:I’m thinking of whether we should go to see the film.Everything depends on whether we have enough money。只能用if不能用whether引导的宾语从句

if引导否定概念的宾语从句时

例句:He asked if I didn’t come to school yesterday.(三)连接代词和连接副词引导的宾语从句

这样的宾语从句实际上是由特殊疑问句变化而来的,宾语从句要用陈述句语序:连接代词/副词+主语+谓语+其他成分。用于这种结构的动词常常是:see, say, tell, ask, answer, know, decide, show, find out, imagine, suggest, doubt, wonder, discover, understand, inform, advise等。

英语中的连接代词有:who,whom,whose,which,what,在句中担任主语、宾语、定语或者表语。如:

例句:Do you know who will come this afternoon ?

(作主语)

Did you hear what she said ?

(作宾语)

I don’t know whose that is.(作表语)

Could you tell me which gate we have to go to ?(作定语)

Can you tell me whom you are waiting for?(作宾语)

英语中的连接副词有:when,where,why,how,在句中担任状语的成分。例句:None of us knows where these new parts can be bought.Can you tell me how I get to the post office ?

We didn’t know when she would come back.二.宾语从句的时态

1、主句是一般现在时,从句根据实际情况使用任何时态。例句:

She says that she is a student.She says that she will fly to Japan in a week.She says that she has finished her homework already.She says that she can sing a song in English.I hear he was here yesterday.Could you tell me what you were doing at eight last night?

2、主句是过去时态,从句需改为相应的过去时态。即一般现在时改为一般过去时,现在进行时改为过去进行时,一般将来时改成过去将来时,现在完成时和一般过去时改为过去完成时。

She said that she was a student.She said that she would fly to Japan in a week.She said that she had finished her homework already.She said that she could sing a song in English.She was sorry that she hadn’t finished her work on time.3、如果宾语从句中有明确表示过去的时间状语,不论主句用什么时态,从句一律用过去时。

She said she came to work here in 1998.The teacher told us that the war broke out in the winter of 1923.4、如果宾语从句说的是客观真理、自然现象或事实时,这时宾语从句要用一般现在时态。

The teacher said that the earth goes round the sun.He told me that Japan is an island country.The teacher told his class that light travels faster than sound.5、委婉语气Could you tell me…是用来征询对方的意见,并不表示过去常按照一般现在时处理。

Could you tell me when we will visit the Histury Museum? 三.特殊疑问句变宾语从句五注意

1、在引导词上,要将疑问代词或疑问副词变为连接代词或连接副词,引导宾语从句。如:

Whose bike is this ? Does anybody know ?

Does anybody know whose bike this is ?

2、宾语从句的时态与主句的时态保持一致。如:

When the train will arrive ? He asked me.He asked me when the train would arrive.3、在语序上,要将疑问句语序改为陈述句语序。如:

Which one do you like best ? She asked me.She asked me which one I liked best.[注意] 疑问句中主语之前的助动词若是do / does / did , 变为宾语从句时,要先将其去掉,谓语时词再根据时态作相应的变化。

4、特殊疑问句词在句中作主语,变为宾语从句时语序不变(时态应作相应变化)。如:

Who can answer the question ? The teacher asked.The teacher asked who could answer the question.5、特殊疑问句变为宾语从句后,用问号还是用句号完全取决于主句的句式:

如主句为陈述句、祈使句,句末就用句号;如主句是疑问句,句末就用问号。如:

一、宾语从句的语序

无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句, 也无论主、从句之间使用什么关联词连接, 宾语从句的语序一律使用陈述语序。

1.陈述句变为宾语从句时, 语序不变, 仍使用陈述语序。如:

“He is an honest boy, ”the teacher said.→The teacher said (that) he was an honest boy.

2.一般疑问句或特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时, 语序变为陈述语序。如:

Does he work hard?I wonder.I wonder if/whether he works hard.→

When did he leave?I don’t know.I don’t know when he left.→

Who did you see just now?I ask.I ask who you saw just now.→

注意:在特殊疑问句中, 疑问代词who, what等作主语时, 疑问句语序是陈述语序, 故在变为宾语从句时语序不变。如:

Who will give us a talk?Please tell us.Please tell us who will give us a talk.→

二、宾语从句的关联词

引导宾语从句的关联词有三种:1) that;2) if或whether;3) 特殊疑问词。

1.当宾语从句具有陈述意义时, 用that引导。此处that无实际含义, 只起引导作用, 在口语或非正式文体中常常被省略。如:

He said (that) he could fi nish his work before supper.

2.当宾语从句是不确定的情况时, 用if或whether引导, 意为“是否”, 不能被省略。如:

I don’t know if/whether he still lives here after so many years.

3) 当宾语从句相当于一个特殊疑问句时, 用相应的特殊疑问词引导。如:

Could you tell me why you were late for the meeting this morning?

三、宾语从句的时态

包含宾语从句的复合句, 主、从句谓语动词的时态相对呼应。

1.如果主句的谓语动词是一般现在时, 宾语从句的时态根据实际情况选用相应的时态。如:

I don’t know when he will come back.

He tells me that his sister came back yesterday.

2.如果主句的谓语动词是过去时, 宾语从句的时态需在过去时的基础上进行调整。如:

He said that he had been there for three times.

We expected that they would come on time.

3.如果宾语从句所陈述的是客观事实、普遍真理、自然现象或习惯性动作等, 无论主句使用什么时态, 宾语从句都用一般现在时。如:

if 和 whether 都可以用作连词,引导宾语从句,意为“是否”,但它们在句中不作任何句子成分。 if 多用于口语和非正式文体中, whether 多用于比较正式的文体中。一般情况下,两者可以互换使用。但在下列情况下,只能用 whether,而不能用if。

1. 在介词后面。例如:

We’re talking about whether the plan is good enough. 我们正在讨论那个计划是否足够好。

2. 在动词不定式前面。例如:

He can’t decide whether to go for a holiday in the south or not. 他不能决定是否去南方度假。

3. 直接与 or not 连用。例如:

No one can exactly know whether or not it is sunny tomorrow. 没有人确切地知道明天是否是晴天。

4. 在动词 discuss 的后面。例如:

请注意: whether 还可以引导主语从句和表语从句,而 if 则不能。例如:

焦点二、 宾语从句的时态

宾语从句谓语动词的时态一般要受主句谓语动词时态的影响。当主句的谓语动词是一般现在时时,宾语从句的谓语动词可以根据具体情况使用适当的时态;当主句的谓语动词是一般过去时时,宾语从句的谓语动词应使用相应的过去时态。但当宾语从句表示的是名言、客观真理或自然现象等时,从句谓语动词的时态一般不受主句谓语动词时态的限制,习惯上使用一般现在时。例如:

I wonder how she came back yesterday. 我想知道她昨天是如何回来的。

She said that they would go for a picnic. 她说她们要去野餐。

Andy told her son that leaves turn yellow in autumn. 安迪告诉她的儿子树叶在秋天会变黄。

焦点三、 宾语从句的语序

由 if, whether, how, when, where 等连接词引导的宾语从句用陈述句语序,即:连接词+主语+谓语。例如:

What did he say? I want to know.(将两个句子合成一个句子)→I want to know what he said. 我想知道他说了些什么。

当 what 和 who 在原来的句子中作主语,那么变为宾语从句时,还用原来的语序。例如:

What has happened to the Green family? Do you know? →Do you know what has happened to the Green family? 你知道格林家发生了什么事吗?

Who has finished the composition? The teacher asks. →The teacher asks who has finished the composition. 老师问谁已经写完了作文。

焦点四、 宾语从句中的否定前移

当主句的主语是第一人称,谓语动词是 think, suppose, guess, believe, imagine 等时,若宾语从句表示否定意义,通常将否定词 not 前移到主句谓语部分中去。例如:

She doesn’t like swimming. I think. →I don’t think she likes swimming. 我想她不喜欢游泳。

Mary hasn’t been to Japan. We guess. →We don’t guess Mary has been to Japan. 我们猜测玛丽没有去过日本。

焦点五、 宾语从句与动词不定式(短语)的转换

1. 当 hope, agree, wish, decide, choose, promise 等动词后面接 that 引导的宾语从句的主语与主句的主语一致时,宾语从句可转换成动词不定式(短语)。例如:

Father promised that he would buy a new computer for me. →Father promised to buy a new computer for me.

2. 当 know, tell, forget, remember, learn, explain, consider 等动词作主句谓语动词,其后接连接代词/副词引导的宾语从句,并且从句的主语与主句的主语一致时,宾语从句可转换成“连接代词/副词+动词不定式(短语)”结构。例如:

We don’t know what we should do next. →We don’t know what to do next.

3. 当 tell, ask, show, teach 等动词作主句谓语动词,其后接双宾语,且直接宾语是连接代词/副词引导的宾语从句(从句主语与主句的间接宾语一致)时,宾语从句可转换成“连接代词/副词+动词不定式(短语)”结构。例如:

She asked me which skirt she should chose. →She asked me which skirt to choose.

注意:在以上三种情况中,宾语从句的谓语动词动词多表示将来意义。

4. 在 suppose, feel, think, believe, find 等动词后的宾语从句可以转换成含有不定式短语的复合宾语。

(1) 宾语从句的主语转换成宾语,从句的谓语部分转换成宾语补足语,即为动词不定式短语“to be+形容词/名词”。例如:

I find that the plan is unrealistic. →I find the plan(to be) unrealistic. 我觉得这个计划不符合实际。

(2) 宾语从句“it is +形容词/名词+动词不定式短语”转换成“it(形式宾语)+形容词/名词(宾语补足语)+动词不定式短语(宾语)”的复合宾语。例如:

一、宾语从句的定义:

宾语从句顾名思义就是作(及物动词、介词或某些形容词)宾语的部分是由句子来充当。因此把这样的句子(含有从句)叫做复句。引导宾语从句的引导词分为三类即: 表示陈述语气用that , 表示一般疑问语气,含有“是否,能否”的意思whether 和if 引导.表示特殊疑问语气由特殊疑问词导.宾语从句可做动词宾语,介词宾语,及某些形容词的宾语.例如:

1、He wrote me a letter, saying that he would pay a visit to China next week.(动宾)

2、I wonder if you could spare me a few minutes?

(动宾)

3、The teacher is quite satisfied with what you have done.(介宾)

4、Mother was very pleased that her daughter had passed the exams.(形宾)

二、过好“三关”学习宾语从句:

(一)、过引导词关

1、连词that(在口语中that常可省略),if, whether,如: He knows that Jim will work hard.连接代词who, whom, which等,如:

Do you know who(whom)they are waiting for? 连接副词when, where, how, why等,如:

Could you tell me how we can get to the station?

2、由that引导的宾语从句,如: I don’t know(that)Tom was late again I am afraid(that)it would rain soon 注意1:引导宾语从句的that 常可以省略,但下列情况下不能省略。(1)、and连接两个或两个以上的宾语从句,除第一个从句中的that以外,后面从句中的that不能省略。如:Everybody could see what happened and that Tom was frightened.(2)、that引导的宾语从句作介词宾语时,that不能省略。如: I know nothing about him except that he is from the south.(3)、主句谓语动词与that从句之间有插入语,that不可省略。如:We decided, considering his age, that we would not let him do the job.注意2:若有补语,则宾语从句要放到补语之后,在宾补前用形式宾语it.如: He doesn’t want it to be known that he is going away.I consider it necessary that he should do it again.注意3: 否定转移.在think, believe, suppose, expect 等动词后的宾语从句,从句中的否定往往在主句中体现。如: I don’t think you are right.I don’t believe that they have finished their work.I don’t think he cares, does he?

3、由whether 或if 引导的宾语从句: whether和if都有“是否”的意思。如:

I don’t know whether / if he will agree with me.He asked me whether / if I have finished my homework.注意1:在动词不定式之前只能用whether 如: I can’t decide whether to stay.注意2:在whether „„ or not 的固定搭配中 如:I want to know whether it’s good news or not.注意3:在介词后,只能用whether 如:His father is worried about whether he lose his work.注意4:条件状语从句不能用whether引导,如:

Please inform him of the news if he comes back before 10 o’clock.4、由特殊疑问词(wh„)引导(要注意用陈述语气)如:He asked me,“Where is Mr Wang?”---He asked me where Mr Wang was.(二)、过语序关

做宾语从句的句子不管原来是什么语序,在充当宾语从句时都要用陈述语序,即:“引导词+主语+谓语+宾语+其他”。

如:

1、Tom said.He is reading a book.→ Tom said that he was reading a book.2、He asks me.Are they playing a game? → He asks me if/whether they are playing a game.3、Where is the hospital?

He told me.→ He told me Where the Hospital was.注意:当who在从句中做主语时,语序本身就是“主语+谓语”顺序,所以就不再变了.如:I want to know.Who will come tomorrow?

→I want to know whowill come tomorrow.(三)、过时态关

宾语从句的时态要受到主句时态的限制,即要和主句的时态保持一致(也有特殊情况),宾语从句的时态往往被忽视,希望能引起我们的注意。从下面三个方面去把握宾语从句的时态。

1、当主句的时态是一般现在时、一般将来时、祈使句时,从句的时态可根据句意的需要用任意一种时态。

2、当主句的时态为一般过去时宾语从句的时态要与原句相对应的过去的时态(带“过去”两个字)。

3、当宾语从句叙述的是客观事实、真理、自然现象、名言警句、谚语等,不管主句是什么时态,从句一律用一般现在时。

三、宾语从句的特殊语序问题

在“Do you think /believe/suppose----?等”结构中,宾语从句如果是由疑问词引导的,则要用“疑问词+ do you think/believe/suppose +正常语序?”

如:What has happened to him? Do you think?

What do you think has happened to him?

四、否定转移问题

在think, believe等动词后面的宾语从句,如果从句的谓语动词表示否定意义,一般要将否定词not移到主句的谓语动词上面去,即通过否定主句的谓语动词来否定从句的(意义)谓语动词。此时变反意疑问句时仍将宾语从句视为否定,反意疑问部分用肯定形式。如:

1、I don’t think he will come.2、I don’t think he will come, will he?

3、I think he will come, won’t he?

五、宾语从句的简化

1、当主句的谓语动词是hope, decide, wish, agree等,其后接宾语从句,并且从句主语与主句主语一致时,可以简化成动词不定式结构。如:Wei Hua hopes that she will be back soon.Wei Hua hopes to be back soon.2、当know, learn, remember, forget等动词其后接宾语从句,并且从句主语与主句主语一致时,可以简化成“疑问词+不定式”结构。

如:I don’t know what I should say.I don’t know what to say.3、当tell,learn,show,teach等动词其后接宾语从句,并且从句主语与主句的间接宾语一致时,可以简化成“疑问词+不定式”结构。

如:Could you tell me how I can get there?(句子中的 me 和I指的是同一个人)可以改写为:Could you tell me how to get there?

4、动词后的宾语从句,也可以用不定式来简化,但主语要发生变化。

如:It seemed that the boys were going to play games.The boys seemed to play games.复习小结:
