以教材为载体,密切结合教材,在课堂上努力创设各种情景夯实语言知识及语言技能,从而激发学生主动学习英语的兴趣,提高学生的记忆、观察、思维及想象能力,为学生的终身学习奠定基础。

二 课时安排

本教材共13课,包括两课复习课。周课时量为6课时。在一学期(约17周)内完成。第1周到第12周,每周一个新课。后五周进行复习。

三 具体实施

1课堂上随堂安排口头练习。课前进行复习提问及听写,记录成绩,分期汇总。

每两周进行一次单元测试,每学期安排单元检查两次,期中检查,期末检查各一次。2第1周到第12周,讲解课文;第13周开始进行复习。将每课出现的单词、词组、语法、句型结构及交际功能用语进行一周一次的专项练习。复习计划

1)在讲解新课时,向45分钟要质量。以课文内容(Talk like this、Look and say)为基础,运用情景教学法及多种教学形式,如集体活动、小组活动、两人一组活动等形式,努力在课堂上给学生创设一个模拟环境,使学生在仿真的环境下反复强化每课所学的句型及交

际功能用语,鼓励学生在积极使用已学的语言材料基础上进行略有发挥性的交际活动。以此来提高学生的听、说、读、写及实际运用能力,使学生在用中学,在用中练。

2)每单元给学生补充一些与课文有关的知识性、趣味性较强的阅读文章。增加学生学习外语的兴趣。

3)对单词、词组、句型的复习

(1)了解并掌握基本构词法,如派生词、合成词、前缀、后缀等。掌握构词法可以大大增加学生的词汇量。从而掌握背词技巧,减少背词压力。

(2)运用选择、判断及对话等多种形式,将各课的词组、句型归纳起来,做专项练习。将单词融入词组、句型中。在复习词组、句型[内容来于斐-斐_课-件_园 FFKJ.Net]的同时,也复习了单词,使这三项练习融会贯通,融为一体。

4)对语法的复习

首先掌握6种词类(名词、代词、动词、数词、形容词和副词)的词性变化及基本用法。复习本教材中出现的语法项目,如动词不定式、过去完成时、宾语从句、过去将来时。

(1)介绍每种语法的基本概念及用法。

(2)结合课文中的句子进行操练。这样既复习了本书中出现的语法项目,又巩固了课文中的句子。可谓一举两得

1 初中英语教学导入过程中存在的问题

有效的课堂导入对于一堂成功的英语课很重要。导入是一个过程, 而非一种结果。具体到初中的英语教学, 导入是教师在纵观整个初中阶段的学习内容后做出的一系列导向行为, 从而引导学生掌握核心的内容。初中预备年级的学生, 心智不成熟, 自控能力相对不足, 他们往往在上课后的前20分钟注意力最为集中, 学习最为高效。优秀的英语教师应在最初的时段内将课时重点充分展示并给予重复。同时对教师提出了较高要求——如何在最短的时间内将教学内容展示、重复。高效的课堂导入能够最大化满足学生和教师的双重需求, 即教师完成教学任务, 学生在不知不觉中掌握了知识。

一些教师由于受到传统思想的束缚, 上课时直接进入正题, 采用以教师为主的课堂教学模式;或是由于能力和时间有限, 职业倦怠现象严重, 教师不能及时更新知识和教学方法, 单纯依靠经验机械导入新课内容。多媒体的运用可为教师和学生带来很大益处。对于教师而言, 将书面语言以色彩鲜明的形式展示给学生, 能快速吸引学生的注意力。在课件中加入动画、视频等, 学生的兴致得到最大化激发, 从而为整堂课打下基础;其次, 提高整堂课的效率。对于学生而言, 多媒体所呈现的内容更为直观、形象。但是, 导课的实际效果如何?是否将课时重点全部呈现给学生等?以上几点均值得推敲。

2 有效导入新课的内容与模式

对新课导入部分的内容进行设置, 不仅仅以吸引学生注意力为目标, 而是提炼教学重点, 充实教学内容, 提高教学有效性的过程。与此同时, 教师充分发挥主观能动性和创新力, 教学能力和反思能力得到提升。对于教师和学生都是一种挑战:教师通过思考如何在特定的时间内将教学内容以不同的方式呈现, 这是一个输出的过程;而学生的接受能力得到检验, 即在较短时间内掌握新知识。教育目标的设置需考虑学生的实际情况、教学内容、教师等因素。同样, 应根据学生的兴趣点、理解力、知识基础以及教师的创造力水平等设置导课内容和模式。

1) 对教科书的统筹

明确的教学目标是成功导课的关键, 也是对课堂效果进行评估的依据。目标与评估各环节会产生双向互动, 从而使课堂的瞬时内容依据目标不断调整、变化。[1]无论是哪个具体的课时, 教师都必须在教育部《义务教育英语课程标准 (2011年版) 》和整本教科书的前提下设定教学目标, 做到教学内容的前后一致和承上启下。其中, 前后一致指的是遵循教科书的整体目标, 承上启下指的是在新课导入的过程中, 适当穿插上节课的重点知识。在导入部分加入复习内容, 一方面巩固所学知识, 为新知识的摄入奠定基础;另一方面, 学生对旧知识有似曾相识的亲切感, 能够提升学生的自信心。教师在课堂中应从书面教学目标“演绎”为针对学生的具体目标。以牛津上海版6 B为例, Unit 8重点句型之一为“see sb doing sth”, 而第九单元的课题是“Sea Water and Rain Water”, 通过分析不难发现, 在寻找各种“water”的过程中能够顺势引出例句。

2) 对课时目标的把握

教师必须清楚“把握”的内涵。把握程度不是熟知教科书特定单元的内容, 而是对整体教学内容总结、归纳、提取和灵活运用。重难点一般是学生必须掌握的内容, 也是教师在上课中反复强调的对象。因此, 教师须对课时目标“胸有成竹”。一般来说, 有经验的教师熟知各个课时的重难点。而新教师往往有所欠缺, 他们只能在摸索中前行。形成自我的一套教育哲学对于新教师来说至关重要。如何将内容整合, 提炼出重点并融入导课中, 需要丰富的知识储备、教学技巧以及创造力。“懂得”是第一阶段, 而“输出”是最高阶段。知识迁移属于“输出”的范畴。唯有在已有知识和技能的基础上, 充分挖掘自身创造力才能够顺利进入输出阶段。

3) 对学生兴趣点的意会

中学生具有不稳定性和多变性的特质。初中生的心智发育不完善, 有较大发展潜力。教师应根据青少年的阶段性特点设置相应内容。大部分预备年级的学生是11~12岁的少年, 他们情感丰富, 对待事物较为敏感, 整体上徘徊在“幼稚”与“成熟”之间, 渴望通过自我探索实现自我同一性并形成正确的道德意识和价值观念。因此, 教师应满足学生探索的内在发展诉求, 深层意会学生的兴趣点所在, 在设计导课内容时尽量以多种感官刺激的形式展现。例如, 牛津上海版6 B Unit9第一课时的导入可采用图片和视频宣传片等形式, 将可爱的海洋生物展现给学生, 倡导学生保护海洋、爱护海洋生物。

3 有效导入的运用——以Unit 9第一课时为例

1) 把握全局, 分析教材

在整本教材的基础上对第九单元的教学目标进行分析——第九单元的教学任务是探讨海洋、关于动物、水的话题, 激发学生的节水意识, 操练关于水的用途的句子, 学会书写与水的用途等句子。单元重点为:运用名词表示某些特定物体, 例如“streams, rivers, lakes, ”等;学会使用形容词比较级、最高级, 例如:“Whales are the largest animals on the Earth.”掌握语言技能包括听、说、读、写四个方面。具体到第一课时, 即运用名词和名词性词组描述特定物体, 例如“starfish, sea horse”;运用形容词描述事物, 例如“They are interesting and beautiful sea animals”。同样, 听、说、读等技能的操练不可或缺。通过详读课文发现, 本课时由两大块构成, 即词汇和短文。短文内容是关于海洋 (The Oceans) 。因此, 关于地球、水、海洋生物的词汇是学生需掌握的重点内容。

2) 突出亮点, 设计框架

导课需要创设情境。教学情境建立是有效教学的基本要求, 处于不断变化中的教学情境要求教师采用灵活多样的课堂管理策略, 确保教学活动有序开展。[2]导课方式多种多样, 有讨论式、对话式、提问式等。教师可以运用一种或多种方式。具体到某个课时, 教师应充分发挥创造力, 在设计导课内容时不拘一格, 尽量每次都加入新鲜元素。以牛津上海版7A Unit 9为例, 在设计导课部分时, 我进行了场景的设置——带领学生乘坐一架“超级宇宙飞船” (spacecraft) 遨游三个地方:The First Stop—The Space;The Second Stop—Land;The Third Stop——The Ocean。“spacecraft”作为引子, 在复习7 A Unit5单元的重点单词的基础上为学生营造一种神秘的气氛, 使之紧跟老师的思路, 探索未知, 发现在太空、陆地和海洋中所遇到的事物。同时, 对重点词汇进行强调和重复, 学生在探索与发现中学到知识, 学习兴趣和想象力得到很大激发。“超级宇宙飞船”则成为本课时的亮点, 它不仅能够在太空中飞行, 在陆地上降落, 还能够在海底潜水。所以引出“It is the most powerful spacecraft in the world”。单元重点——形容词最高级在轻松的环境中呈现在学生面前。

3) 强调重难点

教学内容的呈现和语言操练基本上以PPP模式为主, 即presentation (呈现) 、practice (练习) 和production (输出) 。[3]仅仅照搬教案、参考书等上面的设计进行教学是不可取的。本课时的重难点在于用特定的名词、形容词和名词性词组描述事物。导课部分如何合理重复和强调重点词汇成为关键。由于一般限定在10~15分钟之内, 高效导入很重要。根据导课主线, 带领学生遨游三个地方, 引出重点词汇, 让学生在图文中感受地球的分布、水的多样性、海洋生物的可爱。教师可在图片下面配备单词拼写, 带领学生跟着音频诵读。

通过PPT, 教师向学生展示图片、相应单词和音频。展示完毕, 老师便可以对重点词汇进行强调, PPT上出现一个篮子, 相继展出之前的重点单词, 对学生的掌握情况进行检测。要巧妙地对重点内容进行重复, 尤其是导课部分, 学生处于个人原有知识和新信息不断发生碰撞的时机, 需要彼此的磨合与适应。将教学内容与教学目标进行真正的“互动”, 即为新旧知识在学生头脑中循环往复的“浸入”过程。最后PPT上出现海洋污染的视频。观看完毕后引出海洋污染的问题, 学生在小组中讨论, 教师挑选学生代表回答问题。这样, 不仅培养了学生的批判精神和团队意识, 又为之提供了表现和展示的机会。整堂课便在一种和谐、高昂的气氛下开始。

4 总结与反思

新课的“导入”关乎整堂课的成败。维果茨基认为, 学习者与同伴进行沟通与交流, 从而深化对新知识的理解;与此同时, 学习者需要在他人 (强于自己) 的引导下获得最大限度上的学习和发展。[4]而这个“他人”指的就是教师。教师将自身的创新理念融入课堂设计的过程中并付诸实践, 从而激发学生学习的热情, 最终促进学生的逻辑思维能力和抽象理解力的提升。其一, 教师的自我提升意识和创新实践能力十分重要;如果仅仅是为了完成任务而教学, 将是对学生的最大摧残, 教师自身也会逐渐丧失生活的意义。教师应不断充实自己的思想, 通过日常教学活动的验证, 总结出适合的教学方法。Graddol这样预言未来的英语教学:“不会再只有一种教学模式, 一种学习方法, 一种学习动机, 一种教学大纲, 一种英语教材, 一种测试方法, 甚至一种英语供学习。”[5]新时代的教师必须是随机应变, 有所创新。教师应形成“品牌意识”, 在每节课创造教学的亮点。其二, 在学校行政管理层面, 应组织经验丰富的教师给予新教师以指导。沟通与交流的过程即为提升的过程。而且, 学校应组织教师学习多媒体辅助物的使用方法。为教师配置齐全的设备, 确保物质资源的有效利用。其三, 对于学生而言, 应鼓励学生课前预习, 在熟知整节课框架的前提下听课, 往往能够提升听课效率。

摘要:该文针对中学英语教学导入过程所存在的问题进行分析, 得出较为有效的新课导入模式与内容设置的方法:即教师要统筹整本教科书的内容, 明确教学目标并能够灵活把握学生的兴趣点所在, 设置相应的导课方式。并以牛津上海版6B第九单元第一课时为例, 详细阐述有效课堂导入的设置与呈现方式, 从而真正地提升学生的学习效率。

一、引言

在实习期间,通过课前教师备课的态度、课堂中学生接受新知的状态、课下师生之间的沟通和教师在批改学生作业时的反馈,总有个别英语老师在布置作业的时候习惯让学生抄写词汇N遍,到办公室轮流背诵。尽管这些老师对学生的作业抓得紧,还是会有部分学生在写作业,听写词汇或是背诵课文时应付了事,有的甚至不完成作业,对家长的责骂和教师的罚抄也无动于衷。因此,教师为学生提供一套简单、有效而又适合学生的词汇记忆方法刻不容缓。

二、小学四年级学生记忆词汇的特点及现状

小学四年级学生的记忆发展特点:由无意识记向有意识记过渡,有意注意逐渐占据着主导的地位;从具体形象记忆发展到抽象识记忆,具体形象记忆为主。

小学英语教材大多选用一些日常用语和词汇,与学生生活相关。但由于多种因素,有些学生不能很好的掌握词汇、句子等。对此,我做了关于“小学四年级学生英语词汇学习现状”的问卷,并请甘肃通渭徐川小学四年级的102位学生填写。分析问卷可知,小学四年级学生记忆词汇中存在的主要问题有:词汇记忆兴趣缺乏;词汇认读不准确;词汇书写不规范;词汇记忆不牢固;词汇运用不灵活。据调查,很多学生运用词汇的能力较差。大部分学生不喜欢学英语,几乎是为了考试而学。又因为大部分词汇是机械记忆的,学生运用词汇的灵活性较差。

三、小学四年级学生英语词汇记忆方法探究

针对学生英语学习现状,在教学中采用以下方法来帮助学生学习词汇:

1.培养学生学习英语的兴趣

兴趣是最好的老师。小学四年级的学生接触一年的英语,他们对学习英语有一定的兴趣。从激发兴趣入手,教师可以从以下三点出发:

① 讲授新课前,运用多种方式,狠抓词汇的复习。例如词汇的听写或默写。写的主体,教师可以选择单个,小组及全班听写。写的内容,由教师描述词汇特征或做相应动作,学生写词汇。例如第三单元词汇表中的strong、short和tall或long,可以做出相应的动作来表达词汇的意思。简单形象,帮助学生有效地复习词汇。

② 讲授新课时,教师应在精心备课的基础上为孩子们带来轻松、活泼、平等、和谐的课堂。实习期间,学校要求教师要开展“以学生为主体”的课堂,教师在课堂中的讲解不能超过15分钟,以学生为主体。教师需要为学生提供机会,让他们轻松、愉快地自主学习,培养他们的学习兴趣。

③ 及时巩固及评价。巩固可以通过抄写词汇和完成练习检查词汇。抄写词汇,量不宜过多,一般每次抄写5--7个词汇,让学生在抄写的过程中能掌握词汇意思并理解。完成练习,可以让学生结合所学词汇编一个故事或一首歌谣或一个情景对话等。培养学生词汇的应用能力。对学生完成的任务,教师要做到及时评价,且正面评价为主。“好的多赞美,差的多鼓励”的原则。

2..熟悉音标和熟练拼写英文字母

在课程教学当中,通过播放录音,让学生模仿正确发音。讲授发音技巧,要求学生进行口语训练。例如在讲解以下音标时,可以这样教学生:小口/e/和大口/?/,小口/e/一个手指竖放于嘴中的开口度,而大口/?/则两个手指竖放的开口度。在考试中,也应该将“发音”列为考察对象,最常见的题型有:找出发音不同的一项。还可根据学生的建议来学习读词汇,调查可发现,在学生心目当中,读词汇的形式多种多样。如结合中文,音标,大声朗读等。

3.在英語教学中进行讲解记忆词汇的方法

从“学生认为有助于记忆词汇的方法”表来分析,学生常用的学习词汇方法有:抄写,听写,默写,游戏,比赛,联想,谐音等。我认为可以从以下途径来帮助学生记忆词汇:一谐音法。如ambulance(俺不能死,救护车)、dangerous(单脚老师走路很危险)、chicken(又吃又啃是鸡肉)。二联想法,如family(father and mother I love you!家庭)、“兰州牛肉拉面”,里面有beef牛肉、有noodles面条、有soup汤等,用勺子spoon喝汤,用筷子chopsticks吃面条、用刀叉forks and knives(强调knife的复数形式)吃牛肉等。

第三、游戏法,由小组派代表参加游戏。常用的游戏有:“萝卜蹲”;“你来笔划我来猜”,既可以考察组员间的默契程度也可以培养学生之间团结合作的精神;“接火车”。此外实物法,竞赛法等方式能有效帮助学生学习词汇,在实际教学中灵活运用。这些游戏不但可以激发学生思考的激情,还能培养他们善于观察和查漏补缺的良好习惯。

4.联系日常生活,运用词汇

注重英语的实用性并培养学生在学习、生活中运用英语的习惯为学生认为的词汇运用途径的具体分析。调查可知,学生喜欢将词汇与图片结合在一起。实习期间,根据图片具有直观性的特点,并结合学生的兴趣爱好,在布置作业的时候,设计了相应的作业。例如,第一、第二、第三、第四、第五、第六单元分别让同学画:“我们的知识殿园”、“我的魔法书包”、“我的知心朋友”、“回家五部曲”、“兰州牛肉拉面”和“家庭网”。

还有部分同学喜欢做对话/表演、编故事和歌曲等形式练习词汇。在教学过程中,我让学生在课前表演对话或有节奏地说唱歌谣。例如第五单元,我教同学们用双手有节奏地拍打桌子的同时说唱:What would you like? Id like some beef/soup/noodles …

四、总结

词汇的记忆靠的是教师有方法、有技巧的指导和学生日常生活中的锻炼和积累。学生只有找准位置,加强自信,激发学习热情,培养良好学习习惯,掌握一定的学习方法和技巧,有利于学生高效地向着正确的方向迈进,有利于学生不断地丰富和提升自己的词汇记忆能力,有利于学生对生活和学习有更多的理解和体会,有利于学生对未来学习和生活充满自信。
