篇3:外贸函电实训教学框架构建和分析

面对这一问题, 笔者对高校如何开展外贸函电课程的实训教学以建构主义学习观与教学观作为指导进行了探究, 从而培养出能够学以致用的外贸人才。

一、理论基础

(一) 实训的定义和目的

实训教学是指教师在课堂上用真实的项目案例让学生再现实际工作, 以达到提升专业技能、工作方法。设置外贸函电课程的目的, 就是培养出优秀外贸业务人才。具有要求如下:英语水平优异, 外贸理论、实践操作技能较强, 并具有创新精神。

(二) 教学设计的理论基础

建构主义学习理论认为学习环境中的四大方面主要包括协作、情境、会话和意义建构。情境一定要有利于学生对所学知识的意义建构, 从这一点出发, 这就对教师在教学设计方面提出了更高的要求。协作贯穿整个学习过程, 查找学习资料、设定验证、学习评价, 乃至意义建构都有举足轻重的影响。会话也可以说是协作的一部分, 完成学习任务计划这些都是通过会话完成的。意义建构就是学习目标, 就是要让学生理解所学的知识反应的本质、规律及内在联系。

二、实训教学模式设计

运用实际工作案例, 依据现实中外贸操作流程, 再现当时的工作环境, 笔者从协作、情境、会话、意义建构四个方面对外贸函电实训教学框架进行重新设计。如每次授课分为两部分, 前半部分由教师讲述课本知识, 后半部分采用分组实训教学。首先分部分在线实习计划, 主要包括商品顾客交易方式等各个方面。按实习计划将全班同学分组, 每组选一个组长, 每位同学都有机会扮演进出口业务中的不同身份, 在变化学习计划完成后, 扮演角色也随之变化。整个班级可以说每个参与者对贸易环境进行了再现, 小组成员间以互发函电 (电子邮件) 作为日常工作交流的工具, 通过模拟再现, 学生精通了业务技巧与方法, 明白外贸函电交流的方式和方法, 明确了客户、供应商、银行和政府机构的内在交流, 理解国际贸易的操作方式, 深刻理解外贸函电和单证操作, 从而达到“意义建构”的实现。

三、研究结果

(一) 比较实训教学与传统教学方式

在实训课堂中, 教师仅仅起指导作用, 而主体则是学生自己。课堂中, 将一个实习计划模拟完成后, 每个同学都要将函电交流内容交给教师, 教师公正进行评价, 并给出成绩, 合理的提出建议并及时反馈。课后, 同学们要交出你在每一次实训教学中的心得以及不足之处的小结。到了期末考试时, 最终学科成绩期末成绩占60%, 实训教学成绩占40%。2012级商务英语专业的外贸函电课程采用的是传统教学模式, 而2013级商务英语专业的外贸函电课程采用的是实训教学框架。我们将该课程期末考试成绩进行对比, 发现2013级学生的考试成绩显著提高, 其中函电写作题平均分提高了5.6分, 信用证审证改证题得分提高了5分, 优良百分比增长了28.5%。整体上看, 学生的外贸函电写作能力和操作能力有很大的提高。

此外, 实习用人单位的反馈信息表明, 2013级实习生的外贸业务水平、交流合作经验、团队谈判意识明显要高于2012级。

(二) 比较实训教学与外贸教学软件

随着科技的进步, 社会的发展, 模拟仿真外贸软件, 如Simtrade等已大规模的被有很多院校运用, 可笔者觉得目前外贸实践中还是以买卖双方的沟通为主。因此, 在课堂中采用实训框架较为合适, 也便于学生的理解与运用, 比较符合以后的工作要求。再加上国际经济与贸易发展日益变化, 国际贸易中的的一些政策、法规随时都有可能变化, 外贸软件的更新速度也是值得商榷的。这些弊端在目前来看也是我们不得不考虑的问题, 这也是目前外贸软件教学存在的一个重要问题。还有是否能够合理运用外贸软件与学院的硬件设施有着至关重要的作用。

建构主义教学观以“学生学为主, 教师教为辅”的理念, 外贸函电课程是一门操作性较强的课程。那么, 在课堂上, 教师必然会采用实训框架的教学方式。但是我们知道, 建构的关键在于如何让学生主动思考、沟通、合作, 这就要教师下工夫, 教师要根据教学情境设计出科学的学习计划, 在课堂中教师虽然不再是主体, 但教师指导教学的作用更加的重要, 要不然你所做一切计划都无济于事。这是我对外贸函电实训教学框架的一些浅薄看法, 希望同仁们多加指点。

这两种方法的初衷都是好的,都是本着课程的教学目的而设定的。外贸英语函电是一门实际操作性要求很高的课程。上世纪九十年代至今,随着对外交往的不断深入和实际工作环节的不断更新,越来越多的教学者认为第一种方法对教学质量的提高以及日后实际工作的直接切入效果不甚明显,而且长期的纯理论教学会导致成熟效应(maturation effect),不利于学习者能力的培养。因此,教学方法的使用已逐渐倾向于第二种方法(文中以下称实践教学法)。而问题的焦点也转向以下方面:即在实际贯彻过程中,理论环节与实践环节应如何匹配,课时应如何分配,实践环节应如何操作等。

基于上述研究背景,本文提出一种新的教学方法一实训教学法,即在实践教学法体系中,完全逾越理论教学环节,而直接进入实践教学环节。在实际进行过程中,通过营造虚拟的工作氛围,建立假定的工作平台,设置假设的工作任务,引导学生发现问题和自身的不足与知识缺陷,从而达到相关知识的获取和能力培养的目的。本文将通过传统方式的实践教学法与实训教学法的比较,主要研究实训教学法对学生在外贸英语函电课程中学习质量的影响。

一、研究目的

以某高职院校二年级学生为研究对象,探讨实训教学法是否比现行的实践教学法更有利于达到外贸英语函电课程的教学目的。

二、研究方法

通过实验的方式,以某高职院校二年级的两个班(A班和B班)的学生为实验主体。在实验前对两个班就商务英语和外贸方面的知识以客观性试题进行了先后两次测试,测试结果如下:

第一次测试

独立样本t-检验统计结果显示,两班在两次测试中均不存在显著差异。由此将对A班和B班分别以实践教学法和实训教学法进行英语外贸函电课程的教学。

(一)实验过程

对A班采用实践教学法。即在15周的教学时限内,分3个阶段,每阶段5周,前两个阶段在课堂内进行理论教学,最后一个阶段进入实训平台进行教学;对B班采用实训教学法。即同样在15周的教学时限内,在相同的三个阶段中全部与实训平台进行实践教学。在每个阶段结束后,将对两个班进行学习效果即能力培养结果的测试(含主客观题目和实际运用题目)。然后通过对结果的统计分析,衡量两种教学方法的优劣。

(二)理论教学安排

由具有该门课程丰富经验的教师对A班进行前两个阶段的授课。选用内容全面的教学理论材料,并在授课前进行材料的细加工,分出主次,强调重点,以确保在最大程度上对最后阶段的实践教学形成铺垫,并形成很好的衔接。第一阶段主要针对信函内容的不同侧重点,如贸易关系的建立,包装。价格,支付,保险,货运等内容进行教学,力图建立学生概念中的信函写作框架;第二阶段将在第一阶段的基础上深化其教学内容,侧重点将转向重点词句,合同内容的描述和特殊事件及突发事件的应对方面。

(三)实训平台的设置

A班的实践阶段教学和B班的实训教学将在实训实验室中进行。整个实训平台将由电脑,网络,实训课件,设定的实训任务,角色扮演,教师人为辅助各因素构成。在这个平台上,学生将根据所分配的外贸任务,利用自身知识完成具有联系的若干封外贸信函的写作。在这个过程中,学生将根据实训课件和教师辅助所反馈的信息了解到自身写作对完成具体外贸任务的影响,从而不断改进自己的工作,解决写作中碰到的问题,在力求完成任务的同时锻炼实际信函工作的处理能力。

(四)学生访谈

在不同的3个阶段后,对学生进行访谈,主要了解在接受各自教学方法的教学中兴趣状况,自身感受和所遇到的主要问题和困惑。

三、实验结果

(一)测试结果

三个阶段的测试结果及统计分析如下:

第一阶段

第一阶段测试结果显示,A,B两班学习效果具有显著差异,A班成绩明显好于B班;第二阶段测试结果显示,A班成绩仍好于B班,但彼此以不存在显著性差异;第三阶段测试结果显示,B班均分已超过A班,且方差的差异显示B班在整体水平方面强于A班。此外就单个方法而言,A班三个阶段的测试结果无明显变化,而B班则差异性较大,学生成绩有显著提高。通过此类比较可以看出,实训教学法比实践教学法在提高外贸英语函电课程的整体教学质量方面更有效果。

(二)访谈结果

A班学生普遍认为通过实践教学方法的学习,他们的外贸信函写作能力有所提高,就外贸任务的单一片断而言,他们可以利用在课堂上学过的知识很好的应对,但对于整体性要求较高的外贸任务,尤其是特殊或突发事件的信函处理,往往由于课堂上没有赋予他们所对应的知识而不能得心应手的处理。此外,他们认为长达十周的理论教学使他们在后期深感内容的枯燥和方式的单调。虽然第三阶段的实训教学重新激发了学习兴趣,但在经历了由理论到实践的适应过程后,教学已至尾声,大有隔靴搔痒之感。B班学生在第一阶段经历了这样一种过程:由进入了一种全新的学习模式而引发的新鲜感和学习激情到因为缺乏足够预备性知识而引发的对学习任务的束手无策和一定绝望心理。随着学习不断深入,他们逐渐认识了这种学习模式,在学习过程中自我不断总结,积累,学习的心理和兴趣基本保持稳定。此外,他们能用获取的知识和经验,通过思考,以他们自己的方式处理从未见过或极不熟悉的外贸工作的信函写作。从测试题目的处理方式来看,在这一方面,B班的能力远胜A班。虽然词汇的选用和表达方式与标准尚有差距,但并不影响信息的传递和交流以及任务的最终完成。

五、讨论与结论

建构主义理论认为,学习者在学习过程中是主体因素,居主导地位,其他因素,包括教师都只是辅助因素,这样的因素构成有利于学习质量的提高。实训教学法的实验中,学习者所处的地位正是符合建构主义的要求的。因此,产生出实验结束后相比实践教学法的积极效果。此外,根据De Bot的研究结果可知,外语学习者如想提高外语学习的质量,不仅需要对目的语进行大量的输入,而且还要主动进行激活。在实验中,A班的理论教学虽然使学生经历了知识的输入过程,但没有经历B班的对知识的主动思考和实际演练,即激活过程。再者,实训教学法引入的现代化教学设备和打破传统的教学方式对学生兴趣的激发也是出现此种实验结果的重要原因。

这次的实训内容主要是信函的撰写和单证合同的填制,包括买卖双方的询盘、报盘、还盘,到订单、合同,最后达成买卖,以及实际业务中可能碰到的一些问题如还价、催开信用证、修改信用证甚至索赔 拒绝理赔等。操作时,才意识到有些事情看上去很简单,只是要很好的完成它却不是件容易的事。这些都需要我们的扎实的专业知识,牢靠的掌握写作技巧.更需要我们的耐心与责任心。在实训的过程中,我对贸易的一些基本的知识有了更深刻的了解,通过实训,我对磋商交易、合同单证等基本的操作从开始的一无所知到现在能够应用到实训中。平时努力学习对理论知识是很有必要的,还有就是有时候深奥的理论在实际操作中却是很简单的,这会让我们增加对这门学科的兴趣,通过实训,我觉得自己对外贸知识的了解还是少之又少的,希望自己以后有机会多学习一些相关方面的知识。其实,只要虚心用心地学习,很多实际操作就会很容易掌握。

三、实训内容的总结、体会和感受

为期一周的外贸英语实训,每天的课程够安排的非常充实,无论是老师还是学生都是按部就班,老师的细心,耐心,专心指导,同学们表现出来的对知识的渴望和积极汲取,师生配合得相当默契,课堂气氛也相当融洽。

通过这次实训,我又重温了《外贸英语函电》一书中的相关知识内容,根据《外贸函电》课程的性质及学习目的与要求,《外贸函电》是一门实践操作性很强的课程。也就是说,要达到正确拟写外贸业务信函的目的,仅有理论是远远不够的,必须学习大量外贸实务中有一定代表信的信函。更重要的是通过学习信例,熟悉大量外贸业务中各个环节中常用语,包括词汇、短语、句型以及习惯表达方式等等,再通过一定量的练习,对常用语进行操练运用,从而达到掌握并熟练使用的目的。此外,就同一业务环节选择具有代表性的信函进行系统性的学习,正确理解其内容,体会它们的语言风格和写作技巧,对同一意思而不同意思而不同表达方式所收到的效果进行比较,我们学习外贸函电就能从量变到质变了。

练习掌握《外贸函电》是一门模仿性、实践性、操作性都很强的课程,不通过练习实践,很难加深认识,巩固所学知识。只有进行大量的有针对性的反复操练,尤其是外贸业务各个环节设计特定情景进行反复操作,进行大量填空、填词、选择题、句子翻译和中译英信件的翻译等各种类型的练习,我们才能熟练掌握运用外贸业务这些常用的句型、词汇和短语以达到能够正确翻译并能拟写同类信函的目的。
