AFI（美国电影协会）百年百大电影（1998年版）
1998年6月16日，AFI（美国电影协会，成立于1965年，由当时的总统约翰逊亲自下令建立，代表了美国电影学术界的权威）公布了百年百部最佳美国影片的评选结果。百佳电影是从400部提名的候选电影中选出100部，共有1500多名协会会员参加了投票，他们中包括导演，演员，编剧，影评家和电影史学家等。
