论文题目：《美国城市体系：地理学视角》（节选）汉译实践报告
摘要：随着城市化进程的不断发展,人们的生活变得日益便利;不过,城市化建设也带来了一系列问题。不少专家学者著书立说,探寻解决办法,《美国城市体系:地理学视角》就是这样一部著作。该书系统地介绍了美国城市体系的演变过程,是一部介绍美国城市体系的科普著作。我国目前正处于城市化高速发展阶段,学习国外有关城市系统发展的经验与知识,对预防及解决我国城市化建设进程中可能出现或已经出现的问题有着重要的指导和借鉴作用。本文运用斯坦纳的阐释学翻译理论,对笔者翻译的《美国城市体系:地理学视角》（第9章）进行汇报,通过例证,分析、归纳总结笔者在此次翻译中所运用的方法与技巧。斯坦纳的阐释学翻译理论包括信任、侵入、吸收和补偿。“信任”即相信所译文本是有价值的作品,“侵入”就是译者对作品的理解过程,“吸收”是译者在理解文本之后的表达过程,“补偿”是寻求原文与译文在内容和形式两方面的平衡过程。这四个步骤环环相扣,构成完整的翻译过程。笔者在翻译《美国城市体系:地理学视角》时,遵循了斯坦纳的阐释学翻译四步骤。首先确定原作有价值,值得译介给中国读者。接着透彻理解原作,掌握原作语言特点。然后根据原作语言特点,运用适当的翻译方法,将原作内容忠实通顺地在译文中再现出来。原作在词汇层面较多使用专业术语、专有名词和动词性名词,译文据此运用了直译法、直译加注法和词性转换法。在句法层面,原作具有频繁使用长句和被动句的特点,译文在处理长句时主要使用了顺译法、分译法和重构法,处理被动句时使用了语态转换法、英文被动转换成中文被动形式。在语篇层面,译文主要通过重复法和明确指代关系来再现原作语篇的衔接,通过增加连接词和逻辑关系词来实现上下文的连贯。在翻译过程中,笔者还注重原文和译文在语言、文化和审美方面的区别,并对其进行补偿,以弥补原文和译文之间的失衡状态。总之,笔者在此次翻译实践中遵循了斯坦纳的翻译四步骤理论,为此翻译项目认真选择翻译文本,在透彻理解原文的基础上,力求用通顺流畅的语言准确表达原文内容,为科普文本的翻译探索总结出切实可行的翻译方法。
