篇3：有关英语语法的一些小口诀

口诀一:不以s结尾的集体名词做主语, 即主语是不以s结尾的集体名词时, 谓语动词的单复数问题。关于此我们口诀比较多, 但是容易理解。

主要分为三类:

1.集体名词做主语, 谓语动词必须用复数的情况:口诀是“3p cmv”。

“3p”指的是单词people, police, poultry;“cmv”指的是cattle, militia, vermin。

2.集体名词做主语, 谓语动词必须用单数的情况:口诀是“机械设备生产家具和商品, +foliage”。

这里面的几个词是machinery, equipment, furniture, merchandise, foliage (机械, 设备, 家具, 商品, 树叶) 。

3.集体名词做主语, 谓语动词可单可复的情况:口诀是“家庭组成班级做听众, 协同机组人员做公众, 听取政府委员报告”。

这里面的词是family, class, audience, crew, public, government, committee, 当这些词做主语时, 谓语动词的单复数根据这些词词意的单复来决定。如The family is a happyone. The family are enjoying themselves on Christmas.

口诀二:名词前形容词的排序问题相信让很多英语学习者感到无从下手吧, 这里有两个我在平常的学习过程中从老师那里和一些杂志上积累的口诀, 记哪一个都行。

1.一个英语里没有的单词“opshacom“

o p—o p in io n ( 表示对物体看法的词, 如ch ar min g , beautiful, magic, important等) , sh—shape (指描述物体的形状, 如large, small, vast, tiny, round, long, short等) , a—age (表示与年龄、时间有关的词, 如old, young, new, elder等) , c—color (指表示颜色的名词) , o—origin (指表示事物来源的词) , m—material (指表示组成物体所需材料的词, 如wooden, silk等) , 比如这句话, The beautiful round redChinese vase draws many people’s attention in the exhibition.

2.一句话, 一个典型列子:All his three charming smallround old brown French oak writing desks in the room upstairshave been sold out yesterday.

需要补充一点是, 所有的限定词位于形容词之前, 限定词包括冠词 (a, an, the) , 形容词性物主代词 (my, his, your等) , 指示代词 (this, that等) 等等。

口诀三:名词变单复数也有很多细小的规则, 一般情况下是在名词后面加上s即可, 但特殊情况包括:

1.以s, x , z, sh, ch结尾的名词变复数时, 在词尾加es;

2.以y结尾的名词变复数时, “两变两不变”。“两变”:以辅音结尾时, 变y为i再加es, 如parties;以quy结尾时, 变y为i再加es, 如soliloquies。“两不变”:以元音结尾时, 只加s即可, 如boys;专有名词以y结尾只加s, 如Marys, Germanys。

3.以o结尾的名词, 一般加s, 但“黑人英雄在西红柿地里吃土豆, 禁运鱼雷遭到回声拒绝”时, 名词变复数要加es, 这里面的词包括negro, hero, tomato, potato, embargo, torpedo, echo, veto。

4.以f/fe结尾的名词变复数时, 一般在名词末尾加s, 但名词为“狼在书架上偷面包, 主人在树叶上小试牛刀, 各自生命均为一半”时, 要变f/fe为ves, 这里面的词包括wolf, shelf, thief, loaf, leaf, knife, calf, self, life, half。
