论文题目：法律文件中连接词翻译的显化和隐化研究 ——以《中国对外贸易法》汉译英为例

摘要：随着“显化现象”和“隐化现象”的提出,对这两种现象的分析在翻译研究这一领域便成为了焦点问题。以色列学者Blum-Kulka在1986年提出了著名的"显化假说”,她还认为翻译的冗余会在连接词上有所体现,因此连接词便顺理成章地成为了研究显化现象的切入点。但是,大部分的翻译领域研究都集中在对原文及某一译文的对比上。一些学者,如Malmakaer和黄立波等就明确提出,在翻译领域中的显化现象研究也可以对原文以及两个或多个译文进行比较而展开,通过这样的方法,既能使研究的结果更为客观真实,也可以将译者的个体因素排除。本文选择了法律文本作为本次研究对象,并最终选取了由中国法制出版社于2004年4月出版的《中国对外贸易法》英译本和中华人民共和国商务部官方网站上的英译本作为语料,通过语际之间与语内之间的对比,研究“显性假说”对法律翻译中连接词适用性。可以预见的是,如果同一原文的两个不同译本都呈现出同样的显化或者隐化的趋势,那么在排除译者的个体因素的前提下,显化现象和隐化现象的合理性便可以由此证明。这也是对本文第一个理论框架的验证,即由Blum-Kulka所提出的“显化假说”。通过对“显化假说”在法律文本中的连接词适用性的印证,展开显性现象和隐性现象的案例分析。与研究问题一致,本文的研究结果也将从三个方面来体现：首先通过语际之间的对比,在译本中的连接词将会呈现一定数量的冗余性,两个译本同原文的连接词数量趋势保持一致,如此印证“显化假说”在法律文本中连接词翻译的确实存在；其次通过语内之间的对比,两个译本的数量差别较大,也证明了翻译者的个人因素对译本的显性和隐性现象有一定程度的影响：最后通过对《中华人民共和国对外贸易法》中不同类别连接词翻译的显化现象和隐化现象分析,再次证明了“显化假说”在法律文本中连接词翻译的确实存在,同时也具体分析了显化现象与隐化现象的表现形式,为以后的法律翻译中的连接词列出可行性建议。通过对比研究《中国对外贸易法》原文和译本发现,连接词的翻译印证了“显化假说”,尤其是增补连接词和因果连接词的翻译。但是时间连接词和转折连接词的翻译更多地体现了隐化的趋势。希望此文能为显化和隐化的相关研究做出一点贡献,也为以后相关方面的研究带来启示。
