一.说教材

1. 教学内容:义务教育课程标准实验教科书初一英语上册第一单元SectionB(1a-2c)

2. 教材分析:本单元Section B的核心语言目标是:学习数字和询问电话号码。

数字在我们的现实生活中非常普遍,电话号码,身份证号码,银行帐号,邮政编码等等都与数字有关,数字与现实生活密不可分。学生通过学习数字进而用英语询问电话号码,从而达到学中用,用中学的目的,同时也使他们感受数字与生活的密切联系。

《新课程标准》指出,激发和培养学生学习英语的兴趣,使学生树立自信心,养成良好的学习习惯,形成有效的学习策略,发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神是中学英语教学的基本任务。根据学生已有的认知基础及本课在本单元中的地位和作用,本课的总体教学目标应该为:

(1) 知识目标

a. 使学生能听,说,读,写,zero--- nine等数字。

b. 感知What’s your name?What’s your telephone number?等句子,学生能听懂并理解其意

(2) 能力目标

a. 能听懂原文,并能编对话

一、标题与正文的内容不符

1.教材封面内页的内容很明显是“八荣八耻”, 但是标题却是“社会主义荣辱观”。众所周知, “八荣八耻”是胡锦涛总书记在2006年3月4日参加全国政协十届四次会议民盟、民进界委员联组讨论时提出来的, 是新时期对我国社会主义荣辱观的最新概括和阐释。但我们并不能因此就可以认为“八荣八耻”与社会主义荣辱观是同一层次的概念, 这是一种误读。其实, 从外延和内涵两个角度来看, 社会主义荣辱观的外延更广泛, 内涵更为深刻, 而“八荣八耻”只是社会主义荣辱观的重要内容和集中体现, 是社会主义荣辱观的核心。我们可以说树立“社会主义荣辱观”或者树立“八荣八耻的社会主义荣辱观”, 但我们不能说树立“八荣八耻”, 因此, 在实际的书面表述中我们要注意“八荣八耻”和“社会主义荣辱观”两者是有区别的。

因此, 教材在此处的标题概括得不够严谨, 扩大了正文的内容。建议改为“八荣八耻”或“八荣八耻的社会主义荣辱观”。同时, 笔者还查阅了正在使用的七年级下册和八年级上、下两册的思想品德教材, 每册封面内页的内容均为八荣八耻的内容, 这种雷同的现象是完全可以避免的。所以, 建议教材在修订的时候考虑在不同年级的教材封面内页设置不同的材料, 以避免同一内容的简单重复, 因为这才是真正贯彻落实党和国家提出的最新内容进思想政治课教材的体现。

2.教材第35页“相关链接”给出了一张图表, 标题是:青春期“生长高峰”图。尽管编者的本意我们教师能够理解, 是为了引导学生关注图上所反映出来的“青春发育期”所对应的曲线, 说明青春期的孩子身体将发生显著的变化, 这一阶段是人生的一个重要转折期。但问题是图片中的生长高峰仅仅反映在“青春期”这一独一无二的阶段吗?不是的。观察图片我们不难发现, 在青春期之前, 还有胎儿期向婴、幼儿期转变这一峰值明显更高的阶段。另外, 该图表反映的是人从胎儿期到壮老年期的全过程, 其中既有高峰时期也有低峰时期, 因此, 将此图标题拟定为青春期“生长高峰”图显然有点主观主义, 从而造成顾此失彼, 以偏概全。

因此, 笔者认为, 此标题的错误在于编者从主观角度出发, 人为缩小了图片展示给我们的信息, 与事实不符, 对学生将来分析图表类的试题有不良的影响。因为在图表的上方和下方有对青春期的相关文字表述, 已经足以引起学生了解本节课的核心内容是什么, 所以没有必要非在图表的标题上加上“青春期”字样, 而且“高峰”一词的使用也不恰当, 建议教材在修订时作如下改变:在图表内容不变的前提下将标题改为“生理发育阶段图”。

3.教材第88页第8课第二框的主要内容是引导学生在阅读材料后总结对不良诱惑说“不”的方法, 其中第一条是:通过联想后果抵制诱惑的方法。但纵观材料可以发现, “后果”一词的用法不当。因为材料中有“小孙认为:小玉可以多想想自己美好的未来, 想象自己通过努力考上了理想的大学, 毕业后从事自己所感兴趣的工作, 这是看武打小说所得不到的更成功的诱惑。”很显然, 这部分材料所要表达的不是后果而是美好的前景。因此, 如果把“联想后果抵制诱惑法”看作整段材料标题的话, 那么这个标题对整段材料的概括是有失偏颇的, 只能概括材料中“小玉更应该想象不能抵抗诱惑可能带来的不良后果”这句话的意思。因此, 这段材料实际上提到了两种方法抵制不良诱惑, 建议教材在修订时增加对不良诱惑说“不”的方法:通过憧憬美好未来抵制诱惑的方法。这样才能使得标题与整段材料所要表达的意思完全一致。

二、常识与知识性错误频现

1.教材第43页第4课第三框:祝福青春中有这样一段话:“在小组讨论后, 我们这组认为, 与儿童相比, 我们拥有……”其中“儿童”一词用在此处属于常识性错误。很显然编者误以为初一学生已经不是儿童了, 但是事实果真如此吗?首先, 我们要明晰初一上学期学生的年龄段。教材第22页第二单元:主题探究“畅言青春新自我”第一段中有这样的表述:“从呱呱坠地到今天, 生命已经走过十二三个春秋……”可见, 教材认为初一上学期学生的年龄应该是12岁或13岁。根据笔者自己的调查了解, 以2010级的初一学生为例, 学生普遍出生于1997年或1998年, 那么初一上学期学生的年龄的确集中在12岁或13岁, 关于这一点教材还是总结得比较到位, 根据我国义务教育的现状考虑到了初一学生的实际年龄, 观察很仔细准确。其次, 在教材对初一上学期学生年龄判断准确的前提下, 我们要回答的是, 在我国12岁或13岁的学生还是不是儿童?

1992年12月24日最高人民法院和最高人民检察院发布的“关于执行《全国人大常委会关于严惩拐卖、绑架妇女、儿童的犯罪分子的决定》的若干问题的解答” (详见新华网http://news.xinhuanet.com/ziliao/2003-09/08/content-1069146.htm) 有明确表述:“八、怎样划分婴儿、幼儿、儿童的年龄界限?———《决定》和本《解答》中所说的‘儿童’, 是指不满十四岁的人。其中, 不满一岁的为婴儿, 一岁以上不满六岁的为幼儿。”同时, 我们都知道少先队是由中国共产党创立并委托中国共青团领导的群众性的儿童组织。在2005年6月3日通过的《中国少年先锋队章程》中第十一条对入队儿童的年龄也有明确界定:“我们的队员:凡是6周岁到14周岁的少年儿童, 愿意参加……超过14周岁的队员应该离队。由大队举行离队仪式。” (详见新华网http://news.xinhuanet.com/newscenter/2005-06/03/content-3042251.htm)

因此, 可以确定的是, 初一上学期十二三岁的孩子本身就是儿童, 所以教材的本意不可能是让儿童和儿童相比, 唯一的解释就是教材犯了常识性的错误, 没有准确把握我国儿童划分的年龄界限, 建议教材在修订时可以将本句话改为“在小组讨论后, 我们这组认为, 与小学生相比, 我们拥有……”这样就合情合理了。

2.教材第51页“发现自己的潜能”一课中用来导入的第二段材料“数字在一些人看来是枯燥的……创造了中国的一项‘吉尼斯纪录’”使用错误。笔者经过查询发现, 2006年12月25日新华网发布的一则新闻显示:2005年11月19至20日, 我国西北农林科技大学研究生吕超用24小时零4分钟, 不间断无差错地背诵圆周率至小数点后67890位, 从而刷新由一名日本学生于1995年创造的无差错背诵圆周率至小数点后42195位的吉尼斯世界纪录。这是第一次在背诵圆周率的吉尼斯纪录上留下中国人的名字。 (详见新华网http://news.xinhuanet.com/society/2006-11/25/content-5373222.htm)

姑且不问机械记忆圆周率是否值得提倡, 试问七年级上册教材自称是“依据2007年12月印发的《初中思想品德课和高中思想政治课贯彻党的十七大精神的指导意见》作了进一步的修订” (见教材“致同学们”栏目) , 但是却置教材修订前也即2007年之前就存在的事实于不顾, 反而用一则模棱两可的没有具体时间、人物和权威性的所谓的我国“吉尼斯”新纪录的材料来误导学生, 到底有没有真正地去与时俱进地修订教材是值得疑问的。因此, 建议教材在修订时删掉现有的材料, 用有足够说服力的新材料取而代之, 不能给读者以胡编乱造的感觉。3.教材第67页第6课第二框“学会调控情绪”第三目:“喜怒哀乐, 不忘关心他人”中存在明显的知识性错误。因为在前文教材的第61页刚刚提到过“其中最常见的是把情绪分为四大类:喜、怒、哀、惧。”更何况“喜”与“乐”都是指高兴的意思, 放在一起既是同义反复, 也造成了上下文内容的不一致, 使学生产生识记困惑。因此, 教材第6课第二框“学会调控情绪”第三目应改为:“喜怒哀惧, 不忘关心他人”。类似的错误还表现在教材第72页正文中“情趣不但能使我们因学习紧绷的神经得以放松……也能让生活充满欢乐”这句话。因为前文第71页的正文部分和72页的材料中已经出现过多次“高雅情趣”字样, 而且教材的本意也是在表达“高雅情趣”的好处, 更何况情趣是有高雅和庸俗之分的。因此, 教材第71页的正文部分应改为:“高雅情趣不但能使我们因学习紧绷的神经得以放松……也能让生活充满欢乐。”

4.在配合文字使用的教学图片或漫画上也有一些明显的硬伤。如教材第19页“相关链接”下方出现的国徽图案显得很不庄重, 圆环内的底子及垂绶应为红色, 麦稻穗、五角星、天安门、齿轮应为金色, 红色和金色这两种色彩是我国象征吉祥喜庆的传统色彩。但是教材却偏偏将国徽中五角星、天安门、齿轮、麦稻穗的颜色变成了白色, 与在现实中大量流通使用的硬币上反映的国徽图案不同, 在纸张上呈现彩色的国徽图案显然不是技术水平达不到的问题, 更何况教材已经将圆环内的底子及垂绶设为红色, 为什么偏偏忽略了金色部分呢?教材在修订时还需要对此进行进一步完善。再比如教材第62页的六幅漫画中, 中间两幅图片中的乒乓球台面四周有白色的边线, 符合人们对乒乓球台面设计的常识, 但右上方图片中露出的乒乓球台一角的台面最外沿却是绿色的, 很明显是错误的。同时, 图片中穿红色T恤的那名学生共在四幅图片中出现, 但很容易就发现他的衣服在领口和袖口的颜色上出现了多处穿帮。作为在全国广泛使用的教材在同一组图片中却频频出现自相矛盾之处, 也提醒我们的教材在修订时要更加仔细。

三、其他值得商榷之处

1.标点符号出现失误。经过与人教版初一下册和初二上、下两册以及初三全一册《思想品德》中每个单元的“主题探究”相比较发现, 仅有初一上册教材四个单元“主题探究”中的标点符号如逗号、分号、问号等出现明显的错误, 这种错误不是印刷造成的, 可能是输入法调整不恰当所致。

2.教材第5页有一段关于李莉同学的自我介绍, 其中有一段“我的生日是4月5日, 别忘了到时候祝我生日快乐啊!”众所周知, 每年的阳历4月5日前后甚至当天就是我国的传统节日清明节, 这是哀悼先人的节日, 似乎与庆祝生日存在某种程度上的冲突, 笔者并非有封建思想, 只是从尊重传统风俗习惯的角度建议教材修订时能否将4月5日这个时间作一修改, 以避开清明节这个相对比较敏感的时间点。

3.教材第13页“相关链接”提到“一位心理学家在对记忆的保持量进行了系统的研究之后……”能否在教材修订时用“德国的艾宾浩斯”来替代“一位心理学家”, 以体现对这位伟大的心理学家应有的尊重。教材第25页小字部分的材料中关于主人公小月追逐“水母项链坠和闪电贝项链”的内容离学生的社会生活实践太远, 在实际教学中, 学生的注意力完全没有被吸引到回答问题“小月真的爱她的小动物吗”这个问题上, 而是纠缠于什么是水母项链坠和闪电贝项链这样令学生云里雾里的概念解释中去, 因此, 建议教材修订时能否用更贴近最广大学生生活实践的事例来说明相关问题。

4.教材第90页出现的一则材料中有这样一段话:“终于, 他们找到机会向路过的人求救, 一同将假冒警察的流氓送交公安机关。”其中“流氓”一词用法不妥。尽管现实社会中还有这种说法, 但是从法律的角度来看, 流氓罪是我国1979年颁布的《刑法》中规定的罪名, 但是1997年我国修订《刑法》时, 流氓罪就因在实际执法中难以界定而被删除。因此, 教材中出现这样的口头语是与本课强调要懂得用法律保护自我的内容相冲突。
