四.六级作文复习提纲与策略
2004年的《大学英语教学大纲》对基础阶段四级水平的写作能力做出如下要求：“能在阅读难度与课文相仿的书面材料时做笔记、回答问题和写提纲，能就一定的话题或提纲在半小时内写出120.150词的短文，能写短信或便条，表达意思清楚，无重大语言错误。”英语写作不仅是人们用英语表达思想的一种重要方式，而且是英语综合能力的体现。英语写作不仅能考查考生的英语基本功、对词汇的掌握、对语法的应用，重要的是能感知考生思想的深厚或浅薄、思维的逻辑性和条理性的强弱、知识的广博或狭窄、个性的内敛与张扬。作文考试在新大学英语四级考试题中的第一部分出现，就充分体现出作文的重要性。
一、提纲式作文的出题形式
四级考试中，试卷上可能给出题目，或给出提纲，或规定情景，要求考生能够正确表达思想、意义连贯、无重大语法错误。写作的内容包括日常生活和一般常识。近几年来，四级作文一般都是给出作文题目和汉语或英语提纲，要求考生根据提纲写出作文。提纲式作文一般分两种：
(1)就一种事物或现象中存在的顺向性发展规律进行分析论证。这种考题一般在第一段的提纲中提出一种事物或现象的出现或产生了的事实;在第二段的提纲中按照思维的顺向发展规律会分析这种事物或现象，可能是就存在或出现的原因分析，又或者是对这种事物或现象的一些具体表现进行分析论证，或是这种事物或现象存在或产生有什么影响;在第三段的提纲中经常会问及你对这种事物或现象的存在或出现有什么打算，或者如何解决出现的问题，等等。这种题型符合中文的提出问题——分析问题——解决问题论证顺序。例如：2006年6月24新英语四级作文提纲：
①有些大学允许学生自由选择某些课程的任课老师;
②学生选择老师时所考虑的主要因素是……
③学生自选任课老师的益处及可能产生的问题。
本次作文的提纲包含了现象描述、原因分析和利
弊阐释这样的顺向性事物发展规律特征。
(2)就一种事物或现象中存在的逆向性发展规律进行分析论证。这种考题一般在第一段的提纲中提出一种事物或现象的某一个方面;在第二段的提示中按照思维的逆向性发展规律会提出反方向的另一个方面;第三段的提纲中往往也会问到考生的看法。例如2006年12月英语四级作文提纲：
①许多人喜欢在除夕观看春节晚会;
②但有些人提出取消春节晚会;
③我的看法。
本次作文的提纲就充分地体现对逆向性发展规律进行分析论证的特征。
二、常见错误及解决方法
在写四级提纲式作文时，考生经常会出现以下几种常见错误。
(一)书面字迹潦草，整体效果凌乱有的考生的英文书写太花哨，任自己的方式书写，像明星签字一样，给阅卷老师的评分带来困难;还有的考生的卷面不够干净整洁，任意乱勾、涂抹，段落里都是小叉、大叉。这些问题都会拉整体印象分的后腿。这部分括起来，在这部分的最前面明确标明去掉的字卷教师的时间，而且会造成整体分数下滑的问题。
(二)题目和标点符号错误一般情况下题目都完整无误地印在答题纸上了。但是有时也没有这样。如果考题有题目但没有在答题纸上体现出来，考生这时要特别注意把题目完整无误正成为旅游新热点的抄在答题纸上，并且要特别注意标点符号。题目有否应对游客开放持不同的观点。在题目后面点点。许多同学写汉语时习惯了，总是在写完一句之后点一个实心点。可在英语中实心点是句号。一句完整的句子后可以加实心点，表示一句话结束。可短语、从句，甚至单词后出现实心点时，是英语语法错误。同样，在行文过程中也不能随意点点。整篇文章逗号(，)句号(。)及其他的所需标点符号都要清晰明了。
(三)文章结构和字数错误
有许多同学在写作时不分段，或者任意分段。一篇短文有的同学竟分七段之多。首先，不分段是不可以的。在批阅四级作文时，不分段的作文最多得4—5分，只写一段者O～4分，只写两段者0～9分。在写四级作文时最好分三段，也就是三段论。因为在人的思维印象中，“三”表示思维严谨逻辑紧凑。同时段落与段落的字数应该差不多。一篇150个字的文章，如果写成三段，每段平均的字数大致在50～60之间。不能第一段的字数很多，其他段落的字数和第一段比较起来相差太多，出现“大脑袋小细脖”的结构;或者第一段的字数很少，而其他段落的字数很多，形成“啤酒肚”的结构。而且在四级考试中尽量避免一句话成为一个自然段。这几种文章结构也都会拉整体印象分的后腿。另外，文章的字数一定要满足考试的要求。因为在评分时字数不足者酌情扣分。考生在估计字数多少的时候，不要把卷面上已给的主题句包括在内。
(四)无导航词问题
由于考生在英语和汉语交互使用的同时，又是现场在固定的时间内完成两种语言的迁移与交互使用，再加上考生个性的不同。有许多考生的作文出现没有导航词，即过渡词、过渡词组、过渡句的问题。整篇文章缺少自然的峰回路转的写作技巧。由于阅卷时间极其有限，要保证文章的层次感能在第一时间内到达老师的眼中，让阅卷教师不要有拐过一个弯后突然见冰山的感觉，导航词，也就是层次过渡语决不可少。这种词汇就是老师的航标灯，在最短时问里可以给老师一个清楚的层次感。
(五)时态和语法问题
(1)时态问题。考生不知道文章应该用什么时态，所以会出现整篇文章时态混乱，既有一般现在时，又有一般过去时，还有过去完成时，等等。一般情况下，四级作文都用一般现在时来论述。除非像2003年六月四级考题，它把时问就规定在过去，所以只能用相应的过去时态而不能用现在时来叙述过去发生的事情，但同时又得用现在时分析原因。考题如下：假设你在某日某时某地目击一起车祸，就此写一份见证书。见证书须包括以下几点：
①车祸发生的时间及地点;
②你所见到的车祸情况;
③你对车祸原因的分析。
(2)语法问题。在四级作文中经常用到的一般现在时所涉及到的语法首先是主谓一致，即主语和谓语单复数一致。特别是当主语是第三人称单数时，谓语一定要发生相应的变化。虽然考生在高中时就学过这一语法，可在考试中还会经常出现这样的错误。例如：everyone，everyl∞。dy，假如考生在做语法专向练习时。很容易答对。可在写作文时注意力总是放在思想的表达，例子的先后顺序等问题上，虽然阅卷教师不是以文章的语法点给分，但过多的语法错误不会得高分。另一个经常出现的语法错误是because从句。英语和汉语在因果关系主从句上的不同导致考生应用bec8use从句错误。考生往往把because从句作为一个单独成立的句子写在文章中。考生可能没有意识到，在强调原因的同时，一定要写明什么事情的原因。在英语语法中规定，作为从句，不能单独存在，必须有主句引导。如果出现BEcAusE从句错误，会影响到分数档次的降低。这就不是1分之间的差距，而是2～3分的差别。
(六)重复问题
有的考生在写作文时反复使用同一词组甚至是同一句子，这会给阅卷老师很差的总体印象。在四级作文中要写出非常高深的词汇是不现实的，而且也不提倡。文章得高分的亮点，其实在最基础的3000个词汇里就可以实现。我们可以用同义词或同义词组来替换。在行文选词时要注意两个原则：其一，词汇不重复;其二，短语优先。总之，让老师看到你的文章不会出现罗嗦重复的现象。这个亮点的制造很容易，效果也显著。在平时练习四级作文时就应该多注意背一些同义词和同义词组。
(七)画蛇添足问题
有的考生在文章的结尾好用一句话来发出号召，比如“让我们保护好我们的环境吧!”“让我们作个诚实的人吧!”这完全没有必要，而且达不到预期的效果。作文本身的完成已经达到了让人们保护环境的目的，或者让人们意识到诚实的重要性。文章本身已经达到了一个号召的作用。考生再在文章的结尾发出号召，就显得多余了。
总之，写作是一项综合性技能，与阅读的关系尤为密切。因此，应多渎英语文章，读好文章，背诵美文。博采众长是提高写作的一个有效途径。在读书时。不仅要摄取信息，扩大词汇量，还要对文章的结构进行分析以便学习作者的写作思路。学习精读文章的写作特点及写作技巧都有助于提高写作能力，可从主题的确定、材料的取舍、结构的安排、表达的方式和语言的运用等方面来提高自己的写作技能。另外，还要多写多练，多分析范文，在行文时注意避免经常出现的错误，只要持之以恒，有信心，就一定能写出一篇好的四级作文。
