一、为什么要让学生在课堂导入中动起来

著名教育家苏霍姆林斯基说:“如果教师不想办法使学生产生情绪高昂和智力振奋的内心状态,就急于传授知识,那么,这种知识只能使人产生冷漠的态度,给不动感情的脑力劳动带来疲倦。”新课程告诉我们,教师应该是学生学习的“参与者、引导者、促进者和合作者”,教学过程是师生互教互学、主动开发、共同提高的双向交往互动的创造性过程。课堂教学要努力激活学生的学习思维,这才是课堂教学有效性的真正体现。若要取得阅读课堂教学的有效,课堂导人就非常重要。课堂导入作为阅读教学的初始环节,既是学生学习过程的起端,也是学生注意力集中、兴趣激发的“引线”。教师要让学生“动”起来,就要课堂导入导得好,导得巧,能激发并加深学生听课的兴趣和求知欲望。初三牛津英语各单元的Reading是每个单元的灵魂,在英语阅读教学课堂里,需要教师改变教学观念,从思想上重视课堂导入,课堂一开始就要牢牢抓住初三学生的注意力,让学生尽可能地参与其中,让他们尽早地动起来,以此顺利开启教学任务、引导学生打开知识的大门。

二、教师要善于让学生在阅读课堂导入中动起来

让学生尽可能在阅读课堂导入阶段就动起来,教师除激发学生的参与兴趣和意识外,还需要善于利用好几个主要的课堂导入的设计策略,创设情境,启发学生阅读思维,主动求知探究。

1、课堂导入设计要注意目的性

好的阅读课堂导入起着温故知新和承上启下的作用。起着“定向”作用,无论采用何种导人方式,都必须让学生迅速并初步明确阅读课的内容是什么,学习的主要内容是什么,设计的导入要与学习内容紧密结合起来,针对学生认知水平、能力水平,保证设置的问题情境指向课堂目标,由目标规定学习行为的方向,激发学生的认知需要和认知兴趣。

2、课堂导入设计要注意趣味性

在英语阅读课堂教学中,要多设计以学生为中心的课堂导入活动,多通过新颖有趣的游戏,或创造引人入胜的情景,如引用有趣的例子、对比、离奇的故事,来以情激趣,以趣促学,通过充满情趣的导课,调剂课堂教学的气氛和节奏,迅速激发学习阅读兴趣,并积极开展自主阅读活动。

3、课堂导入设计要注意互动性

在英语阅读课堂教学中,要实现以学生为中心的教学理念,设计互动式的导人有利于提高课堂导入与课堂教学的质量。在游戏设计、问题设计、故事编排等各种形式的导人过程中,教师要把智力活动和实践活动结合起来,在课一开始,就要让学生积极参与各项师生或生生之间的互动活动,培养学生的活动和交流意识,让学生动起来,并引导互教互学,多小组合作、探究质疑,学会协作求知,在活动中体验,在交流互动中奋进发展。

三、教师要让学生在形式多样的课堂导入中动起来

课堂导入方式要形式多样,富于变化,才会让学生对每一堂英语阅读课都充满期待。课堂导人方式要形式多样、富于情趣才会让学生保持高度的注意力,形成认识兴趣并启发学生动机。课堂导人方式要形式多样、富于互动才会尽可能地优化教学过程,进而实现课堂的有效和高效。牛津英语9A和9B教材中的阅读课教学主要采用了以下几种课堂导入的形式:

1、从学生兴趣入手,创设情趣导入新课

在新课刚开始时,要让学生迅速集中注意力到课堂学习上,需要教师从学生兴趣人手,利用好视频、歌曲、游戏、猜谜等激趣法,选取富于情趣的方法来吸引学生注意力。如9AUnit l Reading新课导入设计时,结合本课主题正好是学生非常感兴趣的星座,一上课就通过视频、音频文件播放学生崇拜的歌手王力宏的歌曲《星座》,让学生在美妙的音乐和画面中身临其境,使课堂在轻松愉快的思维气氛中进人教师预设的情景中。又如9A Unit 5的Reading是讲述Audrey Hepburn(奥黛丽·赫本)生平与成就的文章,新课导人也可从谈论学生感兴趣的电影明星(如成龙,杨紫琼,巩俐等)和看过的电影开始,播放一段非常著名的《Roman Hohday》(罗马假日)影片,进而激起学生想要了解更多名人轶事的兴趣。

2、从设置不同信息入手,强化信息交流来导入新课

英语教学的最终目的是交际,是各种信息的输人和渗透,是人与人之间情感的交流和互动。课堂教学不仅仅是教师一个人的事,也是全班学生的事,需要所有学生尤其是英语基础差、兴趣不浓、信心不足的学生参与信息的交流和互动,在不同信息的交流与碰撞中充分发挥学生学习主体的作用。如9AUnit 3 Reading是两封Millie和Simon分别写给青少年辅导员有关自己生活与学习困惑的信,文章中大量的信息教师一时不知该如何处理,那就不妨先让学生从自己生活和学习中的困惑谈起,在brainstorming(头脑风暴)后再导入到Millie和Simon的困惑,并让学生对信中出现的有关他们两人的困惑的信息进行对比和分析,并最终来帮助他们寻求解决的办法。

3、从不同情景入手,探究问题来导入新课

教师事先可根据学生的知识水平、心理特点和思想上的焦点,设计一些智力上富于挑战性的问题,来牢牢抓住学生的期待心理,激发学生积极思维,使学生不自觉地进入“情境”,吸引他们去深入学习来解开这些富有诱惑力的疑团。例如,初中牛津英语9A Unit 2 Reading的新课导人就可以设计如下:在简单复习完前一课时对彩虹的颜色学习之后,通过多张图片来展示不同颜色与服装、心情、空间、环境的关系,向学生提出问题:Do you know anything interesting about colors?What cancolors do and what characteristics they represent?Can you tell therelationship between them?以此来吸引学生小组合作,共同探究问题,解答疑团。又如9A Unit 6的阅读课导人也可设计让学生自己当一回福尔摩斯,从老师给出的线索(书本上两个标题Muter in Valley Town以及22-year-old Computer ProgrammerMurdered),让学生尽可能分析谋杀案到底是怎么发生的,发生的原因可能是什么,由此学生激起了进一步探究课文的兴趣。

4、从想象入手,设置悬念导入新课
