一、专升本大学英语教学中亟待解决的问题

1. 学生英语基础较差

专升本大学英语改革面临的最大难题就是学生的英语基础知识不扎实。以作文为例, 学生词汇量较少、语法错误频出, 作文中常会出现句子不通顺, 单词拼写错误, 汉语式英语等错误。另外, 由于英语基础知识较差, 专升本学生学习积极性普遍不高、还停留在被动学习的层面上, 以应付考试为主, 学习目标不明确。此外, 多年的应试教育和灌输式教学方法使学生在听力和口语方面的能力更差, 一些学生上听力课特别吃力, 不能理解老师所讲授的内容;单词读音不准, 交流困难等问题普遍存在。

考评模式的不科学也是专升本大学英语教学改革的一个重要方面。传统的考评模式主要存在两方面的弊端:过分重视卷面考试成绩和轻视听说能力测试。采取卷面成绩与包含听说成绩在内的平时成绩各占一定比例的方式可以有效的改变传统的考评模式[2]。一方面, 重视阶段性测试成绩, 增加平时成绩比例;另一方面, 平时与期末测试内容中增加听说内容的测试, 使其与读、写、译占据相同的成绩比例。学生所重视的四、六级考试同样增加对听、说能力的测试内容, 不读提高学生对听说能力的重视程度。鼓励学生多参加英语角等活动, 真正做到活用英语, 使学生感受到学习英语的用处和乐趣, 变被动学习为主动学习。
