摘要:Since China officially joined the World Trade Organization(WTO)on December 11,2001,China’s trade in goods and services has made great progress in both the scale of development and the growth rate in these years.In recent years,with the reform and development of science and technology,information and communication technology,the international division of labor continues to deepen,and the service industry also grows rapidly.While the service trade becomes more diversified,the importance of the service trade also gradually increases.The economic strength of a country in the world not only depends on trade in goods,but also must include trade in services,and the importance of trade in services will become increasingly strong.In today’s information age,if we want to develop rapidly,we must keep up with the tide of high-tech development.To enhance the international competitiveness of information service trade has also become the focus of attention of governments.At first,this paper reviews the relevant research of domestic and foreign scholars,defines the basic concept of trade in information services,and expounds some theoretical basis related to international competitiveness.By using Trade Competitive Advantage Index(TC),International Market Share Index(IMS)and Revealized Comparative Advantage Index(RCA),this paper compares and analyzes the industry size and international competitiveness of information service trade between China and the United States from 2000 to 2019.In the past 20 years,the industrial scale of China’s trade in information services is lower than that of the United States,but the growth rate is fast,and the international competitiveness is also significantly enhanced.At the same time,in order to study the factors affecting the international competitiveness of information service trade between China and the United States,this paper uses Porter’s diamond model to screen the factors affecting the international competitiveness of information service trade from six aspects,and uses Vector Autoregression to take the export volume of information service trade as the explained variable.Human capital,R&D expenditure,Internet penetration rate,level of trade in goods,openness of trade in services and foreign direct investment are used as explanatory variables to analyze the international competitiveness of trade in information services.The conclusions are as follows:human capital,openness of trade in services and R&D expenditure have a positive impact on the competitiveness of information services in both countries;Internet penetration has a positive effect on the competitiveness of China’s information service trade,but has a slight inhibitory effect on the United States.The level of trade in goods has a slight inhibitory effect on the competitiveness of China’s trade in information services,but a positive effect on the competitiveness of the United States.Foreign direct investment has different restraining effects on the competitiveness of information service trade between China and the US.Finally,according to the conclusions of the empirical analysis,it puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s information service trade.
