摘要：气象即大气的各种自然现象。气象影响着世界各国的社会经济发展进程。气象议题与地球上所有生命的延续休戚相关。关注气象,了解气象,利用气象,爱护地球是世界各国不容推却的时代使命。然而,近年来,全球气候形势不容乐观,气象灾害频发,气象研究如火如荼。因此,气象文本翻译的数量和质量对于我国气象事业的发展至关重要。基于此,译者决定选取《今日气象学:天气、气候与环境简介》为翻译材料,本书是关于大气环境科学的大学教材,详尽地讲解了大气环境科学的基础知识和最新进展。在对原文本进行详细分析的基础上,译者采用纽马克的交际翻译为指导理论,从词、句、章三个层面归纳气象文本的翻译实践。交际翻译强调以目的语表达方式为中心的原文信息的传递。因此,就该气象文本中词汇层面的翻译而言,译者主要采用直译、增译和词性转换的翻译策略,在表达出词汇的内涵的基础上提高可读性。对于句子层面的翻译,译者灵活地采用了各种翻译技巧,包括增译、合译、分译、语态转化以处理中英文的表达差异,使得译文科学严谨,符合汉语的表达习惯。针对篇章层面的翻译,译者使用了增译法、重复法和调整词序的方法,使得篇章层面的翻译流畅自然、衔接有序,提高翻译质量。通过案例分析,纽马克的交际翻译理论对气象翻译实践的指导作用得以体现。翻译原文本既可以促进中国气象事业的进步又可以总结出气象文本翻译的实践经验以便为相关译者提供借鉴和参考。
