论文题目：高职院校学生英语学习动机衰退现象研究

摘要：动机是影响二语习得的重要因素之一。上世纪五十年代，大量学者就学习动机展开了全面研究，认为动机可以合理解释学习者学习二语的目的，促进学习者不断努力，保持兴趣，取得学习成果（D rnyei2005:65）。然而，大部分研究只关注了动机对于外语学习的积极影响，忽视了动机的消极面，即动机衰退。 动机衰退是一个相对前沿的研究领域，20世纪90年代以后，越来越多的国内外学者开始研究影响外语学习动机衰退的主要原因。Oxford（1998）, Gorham（1992）和Christophel （1992）等学者认为外在因素，特别是“教师”，是导致学生学习动机衰退的主要原因，而其后又有新的研究表明，学习者自身缺乏内在动机也是导致动机衰退的重要原因（Kikuchi and Sakai,2007）。在国内，大部分关于动机的研究都是针对如何增强学习动机提出一些策略，关于动机衰退研究处于起步阶段，侧重于介绍国外动机衰退理论研究的背景（刘宏刚，2009）。李艳辉（2004）、张哲（2007）、梁良（2008）等研究者通过实证研究发现“教师”是影响学生动机衰退的最突出因素，与国外相关实验结果基本类似。在这些研究中，研究对象多是中小学生以及大学本科院校学生，而作为一个特殊高等教育群体的中国高职院校学生，得到的关注极少。 本文采用定量的研究方法，主要研究了导致中国高职院校学生英语学习动机衰退的因素。被试为山东省某一高职院校的200名大一，大二年级学生，他们分别来自国际贸易，会计，金融和物流管理四个专业。首先，他们完成了一份封闭式调查问卷，根据被试对自己英语学习动机的反馈信息，被试被分为弱动机组和强动机组，从而进一步研究影响强弱动机组的动机衰退因素的差异。随后，将调查问卷的数据输入电脑并通过SPSS16.0软件进行数据分析。研究发现:1、英语学习动机衰退现象在中国高职院校中相当普遍且严重。此研究得出了六个导致动机衰退的因素，分别为：（1）教师的能力和教学风格（2）学习的失败经历（3）设施不足以及学习环境不健全（4）不合理的运用学习资料（5）学习内容（6）缺乏内在动机。2、两组被试对于因素1、2、3、4、6的反应明显不同。3、动机衰退因素1、2、3、6对于高职院校学习者的英语学习水平有显著的负面影响。 根据高职院校学生英语学习动机衰退的研究结果，本文进一步提出了适用于高职院校英语教学的合理化建议与针对性措施，以期能抑制英语学习者动机衰退的现状。
