野生动物是人类的朋友，是自然生态系统的重要组成部分，是大自然赋予人类的宝贵自然资源。保护野生动物，维护自然生态平衡，不仅关系到人类的生存与发展，也是衡量一个国家、一个民族、一个城市文明进步的重要标志。

我国是一个野生动物资源非常丰富的国家，但是由於生态环境的恶化、野生动物栖息地的人为破坏，致使我国野生动物的数量、分布范围正日益缩小，许多种类已处於濒临灭绝的状态。近几年，滥食野生动物的现象屡禁不止，使得许多已经处於濒临灭绝的野生动物的处境更加艰难。最近，我报进行的采访调查表明：我市滥食野生动物的现象还十分严重;滥食野生动物的行为也正受到越来越多人们的谴责。要彻底改变滥食野生动物这种不文明的行为，需要社会各界的共同努力。
