一、小学阅读教学的时代背景

长久以来,人们总是误认为英语阅读,这不是小学英语老师所考虑的,小学英语老师似乎没有多少发言权。而恰恰相反,随着小学英语教育的发展,英语阅读部分在小学学习阶段的重要性日益突现。经过我区几所实验学校的尝试,结果来看,接受小学英语阅读教学的学生的语感,口语表达和英语作文以及词汇量都比其他没有经过训练的学生高。因此,我觉得小学英语教师值得探索英语阅读教学,小学英语阅读教学没想象中的难。

二、小学阅读教学的要求

小学英语阅读教学不能一蹴而就,日常教学中要重视英语阅读教学,明确阅读教学是英语教学中一个重要部分。激发学生阅读英语的兴趣和动机,满足他们学习英语的成就感。在此基础上,进一步培养学生的阅读技能。我们根据学生的语言知识水平,制定了符合学生不同认知水平的阅读教学的要求,具体如下:

1.初级阶段:图片辅助或提供注释,理解单词及简单的句子。培养学生英语阅读的兴趣。

2.发展阶段:通过上下文,猜测单词在句中的含义。对非重要的单词跳过。让学生明白在阅读中遇到生词很自然,做到不惧,敢读下去。

3.提高阶段:结合上下文,理解句子。养成用英语阅读习惯,提高学生的分析能力。

三、小学阅读教学的遵循原则

我们根据学生的年龄特点和现有的英语知识水平进行阅读教学,我们遵循以下原则:

1.阅读教学中的趣味性。内容生动的阅读材料会吸引学生兴趣,使他们在一种轻松的状态下习得知识。如我区有一位英语教师在上4AP22的内容时,她把课文中简单的句子加以整理,并添加了一些生动的单词和句子,使它连成一个完整的故事。这样一个改编,大大提高了学生的兴趣,她让学生读故事想结局,学生们居然能说出6-7种不同的结局。

2.阅读教学要求的循序性。阅读教学既要防止阅读语言过难,又要避免内容流于简单。过难或过易的阅读材料都不利于提高学生的阅读兴趣。因此材料的选编应难易适度,循序渐进,与学生的最近发展区相结合,重视复现注重运用。

3.阅读教学中阅读材料题材的多样性,如可以选择贴近生活的材料:学校、家庭、朋友、动物、植物等。阅读材料体裁的多样性,可以选择片段、故事、对话、童谣等,不拘形式。总之,选材的多样性不仅能吸引学生的兴趣,也利于开阔学生眼界,避免阅读教学的模式。

小学阅读教学通过具体的课堂教学来实施,以下为笔者对阅读课模式作出的尝试。阅读教学模式一般可分为三步:整体呈现、课文理解、巩固活用。

第一步为专题呈现(Presentation)。这是知识的输入阶段。在这教学过程中,老师引导的重点在于让学生对于课文形成一个初步的之的概念,吸引学生对于接下来学习的注意力。教师可以采用挂图、简笔画或者听录音的形式,把故事大概呈现在学生眼前。变化的语调或者夸张的动作都可以帮助学生理解文中的新单词及新语言点。教师还可以在介绍课文时有意识的暂停,让学生对故事的后续发展进行猜测,一方面造成一种悬念刺激了学生的好奇心,另一方面也能鼓励他们发展想象力和初步的创作意识。

第二步为理解内容(Comprehension)。这同样是输入阶段,是由感知到理解的过程。学生在教师的带领下初步理解课文后,教师可以用一系列简短的问题来帮助并且检查学生对于课文的理解程度。这部分的问题应分为两个层次,首先是较简单的问题,学生可以在文中直接找到答案。学生回答的正确与否直接反映了是否看懂了课文文章。学生在回答问题的同时也重温课文的中心句型。而另一层次的问题,则是要求学生能运用新词和新语言点,结合课文的内容和自己的理解,进行作答。在这个阶段,教师应该允许学生就同一现象提出自己不同的见解。学生则借此进一步加深对文章的理解和印象,为接下来的表演等做铺垫。

此外,在这一教学过程中教师应给学生充分时间读书,常言道“书读百遍其义自现”,采用不同形式的阅读能有效的帮助学生熟悉和理解课文,如全班跟读,全班齐读,分小组读,自由朗读,分角色读等。在引领学生进行阅读时教师要注意针对每一次阅读对学生提出不同的要求,让学生在重复阅读同样课文的同时保持新鲜感和兴趣,以及从不同角度去理解熟悉课文。

第三步为巩固(Consolidation)和活用(Usage)。这是输出阶段。让学生在这一阶段用他们所学到的英语来进行交际性对话和角色表演。在这过程中,让学生充分发挥他们的主体作用,教师只起组织者和平衡者的作用。

分句讲述法:让学生先分组讨论一分钟,然后以开火车的形式,每人讲一句,直到把整个故事讲完为止,在学生讲述内容和课文大致相同的前提下鼓励每一个学生能大胆发言、积极参与。

表演法:教师把全班学生分成若干个小组,让学生按文中的角色分组练习和准备,并且分组准备道具、服装等。在整个准备和表演过程中,教师允许和鼓励学生结合课文内容和以前所学进行发挥创造。如Unit 8 Are those tomatoes故事结束后,让学生自己准备道具,在原图动作的基础上自己发挥,将这篇课文表演出来。如该文最后卖菜者的原台词是“They are my carrots.”而在表演过程中就有学生加入了“Give me money !Money!”还有学生在表演此段喊“Police! Help!”学生们生动活泼的表演不仅引来其他观众的兴趣,同时也鼓励了其他表演者也不甘示弱进行发挥。学生表演的热烈让他们对课文的表演具有极大的积极性和热情,在下一次表演的准备过程中都非常投入。

四、小学阅读教学的具体措施

(一)帮助学生熟练认读大量词汇,提高阅读能力

英语词汇是读懂阅读材料的基础,如果无法熟识认读大量词汇,阅读根本无法谈起。作为小学英语教师要努力地创设向上,活泼的教学氛围,激发学生记忆单词的动机,让学生思考怎样用不同的方法记住各种单词,将词汇教学渗透于学生的认知过程中。根据学生的记忆规律,不断的提供学生运用单词的机会,滚雪球式的实现词汇的积累,为阅读打下良好的基础。

(二)在恰当的时机教会学生使用英语词典

在阅读过程中,学生遇到生词是不可避免的。要培养学生通过上下文猜测单词在句中的含义的能力,对非常重要的单词也如此,让学生明白在阅读中遇到生词很自然,做到不惧怕,敢读下去。在基本理解的基础上,为了培养学生的自学能力及对文章的正确理解,扩展学生词汇量,让学生学会用英汉词典,帮助孩子学会查英语字典。在教学中,遇到生词,还可以用英语解释英语单词的方法来帮助学生理解单词,如favorite,英语可以解释为like ...something best.逐步培养学生用英语思维的能力。当前网络教学发达,也可以提供一些在线字典网页,如www.iciba.com,只需输入生词,便会出现解释,并且网页上提供美式和英式两种发音,随时供学生点击自学。

(三)指导学生正确阅读方法和习惯

首先,对阅读材料不应做统一要求,而是对不同水平的学生提供不同程度的读物,并提出不同的要求。

其次,是教会学生如何去阅读课外材料,小学生对英语材料的阅读往往缺乏科学性,教师有必要多给予一定的指导,指导他们对材料多层次多角度的阅读,培养他们简单的略读(skimming)、精读(Intensive Reading)、查读(scan),熟读(Proficient reading)的能力。哪些可以快速读过,而哪些地方则需要稍作停留认真阅读,不要对个别生词作过多讲究,只要能知其大意或猜测其大意即可。

最后,要纠正学生的不良的阅读习惯,如逐字阅读,移动手指或颈部,纠缠生词,病态读书姿势。

(四)设计有效的读后活动

读后活动是对语篇阅读质量的检查评估,也是对文本内容的拓展、延伸和运用。经常利用简笔画、肢体语言及其词组短语(key words)的提示,让学生就课文复述,提高学生理解能力。在某个阶段或单元任务完成之后,全班进行一次推选阅读大王的活动,让学生把自己最近所阅读的材料用英语讲述给其他同学听。如在教完5B《Unit3 Hobbies》后,可让学生叙述自己和家人的兴趣爱好,并组合成一篇小短文《My family’s hobbies》读给各位同学听。既是对学生的阅读成效的摸底,又给学生提供交流与实现自我表现的机会;既是练写、练听,又是练说;既磨练胆量,又培养能力;既是一种反馈,又是一种激励。

(五)开展亲子阅读教学

教师或者是家长与儿童一起利用儿童喜爱的故事书,通过互动开展阅读活动,分享阅读的快乐。时常邀请学生和家长帮忙搜集相关英语阅读资料,并请家长在孩子的阅读训练中加评语,让家长探讨学生在阅读过程中的问题、收获。这些英语阅读故事可以与课文教学的话题内容相匹配,如在教Color时,可以是有趣的故事“Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see?”;也可以与课文的语言结构相匹配,如在教”Have, has”句型时,可以为学生上自编的故事“Magic boxes”让家长参与到学生的英语阅读中来,是使家长参与到教学中来的比较好的手段。一方面,学生能够阅读,家长会有一种成就,对教师的工作会更加支持;另一方面,家长的参与,使学生更加有学习的动力。

总之,我区实施体会阅读教学的体会是,如果缺少阅读能力的训练,学生在各方面的发展都会受到一定程度的影响。而在对小学生进行阅读训练之后,逐步积累起来的知识和词汇量会使他们更喜欢英语,渐渐提高阅读能力和语言实践能力,并为他们进一步的英语学习打下良好的、坚实的基础。

篇6:牛津小学英语6A复习计划

转眼又到了学期末,6a教材让我们所有的任课老师都感到困扰,单词量多,语法知识多而散,句型多,文章篇幅长,这一切的一切都给我们的教学带来很大的困难。现在整个年级新课基本结束,根据平时教学过程中以及单元测试中学生暴露出来的问题,制定一下复习计划:

第一阶段(课文、单词、词组、句型)按单元复习

从Unit 7倒着往前复习,(因为1-3单元期中复习花的时间教多),上课首先通过默写等形式默写5-7单元单词、词组、句子等,接着是梳理课文,由于学生自觉性教差,回家的口头作业很多学生不能完成,所以课上提供时间给学生读,此时要求学生中英文对照读。接着是输理每个单元出现的难点、重点,并出相关练习。Unit 7出些名词性物主代词和形容词性物主代词比较的练习,如,用他们的适当形式填空等;Unit 6出些句子的翻译练习,以及词组翻译,;Unit 5的动词的过去式,Unit3复习be动词的过去式,Unit 2的序数词及对日期提问的句型以及Uni1的标志语。

其中每位教师手中的每个单元的听力练习溶入到每个单元复习中,让学生学会听的方法,提高学生的听力。

附学生要求掌握的语法内容:

第三阶段,综合模拟练习

我们六年级组根据学生的情况出了两张综合练习卷,提供给学生一个模拟实战的机会,并根据考试情况及时巩固学生某些语言点或者练习上的不足,迎接考试!
