Why should I choose Finance for a change?

Well, you see. As a student majoring in Economics, several courses are required, such as Accounting, Statistics, International Trade and so on. Of course, Finance is also included as a basic course for me. And it is this Finance course that leads me to the mysterious financial world. As is known to all, with the increasing development of the economic world, Finance, consciously or unconsciously, has been penetrating into people’s daily lives, thus placing an accelerating significance of understanding Finance. However, we all know that our training hours for the Finance course is quite limited during the 4 years’ campus life. Therefore, I decide to further my education in the this field for a better understanding of it.

While the reasons for me to choose Southwestern University of Finance and Economics majorly lie in its long standing reputation in China, particularly in Finance, which is well known for us, and its elite ptofessors and teachers as well as the densed learning atomsphere in the surrounding environment. What’s more, the beautiful scenary as well as the great local delicacies also strikes me a lot. All of these have attracted me of furthering my study here, in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Thank you!

Good morning, professors. Today,it is my pleasure to have this opportunity .Now i will introduce myself briefly . My name is ***,24. I come from Huanggang, a beautiful city of Hubei province . I will graduate from science and Technology college of Hubei university of arts and science this july , majoring in mechanical design manufacture and automation.

During my university , i have been studying hard . I have got scholarship , was named “three good ” student ,and have gained other kinds of certificates , besides passing CET-4 and CCT-2 . I like my major. I believe i can learn a plenty of knowledge from it . And it also change my some awareness . However , i don`t think it`s enough . So i`m very longing for studying more deep knowledge in your university ,and obtain a master`s degree .

I`m a frank , optimistic and energetic person . I often join in various activities of the school communities when i have leisure time . I also spend my spare time on reading , painting , traveling , especially on playing table-tennis ,and chess . But once in the study , i will devote myself heart and soul to delve into the knowledge .

Although i have grasped the essential knowledge of the major , i think at present , i`m not competent to do things professionally owing to lack of ample knowledge and ability. So i assume further study is still urgent of me to realize self-value .what`s more , your college have a good reputation in the field where my research interest lies and so many excellent teachers. This`s why i choose to further my study here.

During my undergraduate years, I have maintained pretty good course grades and won first-grade scholarships. When I was a sophomore, I participated in the National English Contest for College Students and obtained the First Prize. And also, I took part in the College Innovation Project with my friends. Our research topic is the linguistic and cultural interpretation of British Society on the basis of the classic movie “My Fair Lady”. Apart from campus activities, I also took some part-time jobs. Work experience in a training school taught me a lot and I learned to be patient and creative.

In my spare time, I like to listen to music and see English movies. Although I am not talented to be a good singer, I regard music as part of my life. No matter I am happy or sad; I can always find resonance in music. And I quite appreciate the natural and melodious English in the movies and sometimes I just cannot help imitating their tones and pronunciations. Moreover, some outdoors sports like badminton is also my favorite.

At the mention of my family, I was not brought up in a rich family but my parents have always taught me to be a good person, sincere and generous. When it comes to family, we’re all still children at heart. No matter how old we get, we always need a place to call home. Because without the people we love most by our sides, we can’t help but feel all alone in the world. That’s why I came here. Studying in Shandong University will make me feel around home. In addition, I have a great interest in translation. When I have finished some fragments of translation, I often get a sense of fulfillment though surely they still need to be polished. Moreover, at present there are many job vacancies related to translation. I know I am not qualified yet but if I’m honored to be admitted, I will be prepared for the foundational theoretical courses and intense practices.
